I just checked Miniland's 5:05 WR and 1-1 is completed on 30.xx? Does this have to do with waiting with the floor clip or PAL smb1 itself? Also, I was messing around in 1-2, jumped off the second platform at the end and floor clipped. You can clip through the 'entities' of platforms! I believe that you must jump on the first frame though. Could this save time?
So it turns out with the grab boost already in L53, you have an extremely small amount of time to do another grab boost. You see where this is going. Throw Book up and get TAS icy throw. Then do the grab boost at the end and get TAS 53. EXTREMELY, EXTREMELY hard though.
When and why did the Unity version come out and what can I get it on?
So the TAS uses two wall clips at the spikes to get to the end, but the previous TAS used a clip at the yellow platform for Match. What I think (and haven't pulled off) is that only Match needs to clip and Book dies to throw her, that way you don't need to worry about Book clipping. After that, you still need a frame-perfect jump and getting to the end without grabbing the HPRC. I don't know if this is possible, and the closest I got was Match clipping but dying because I moved too late. You should try to move at the moment Match reaches the bottom block of the platform. So yeah, this is my 34 human theory. Degen may be faster, but this is just an attempt for discovery.
When a P-Wing Mario takes damage, it loses its infinite P-speed, but only after a couple seconds or so. In 3-Airship when I was messing around with a wing, I took damage but collected a leaf right after and kept my infinite P-speed. You can also do this with a tanooki suit to get a P-Tanooki Wing.
The IL world records for levels 2 and 4 are done in ways that save enough frames to get tenth-second barriers that look completely impossible as the only way of moving is walking and jumping, which can't accelerate fast enough. How do those records exist?
I was messing around in level 47, but then I found an extremely odd glitch with recovery. As you might know, armed characters can pick up others during its death animation, leaving them holding a sprite of nothing. In the case that I had, Book held Ice Cube and ran into side-facing spikes. I then picked up the dead sprite and switched to Match. She then recovered Ice Cube, and Book teleported to the HPRC, already holding him, like he did at the very start.
I just saw a 5b tas and in level like 7 and 31 they could just clip through solid walls and not blocks. How is this achieved?
I saw some runs on 1-2 and they made toad run backwards without wall jumps? someone did a wall jump but didn’t move to the opposite direction. how is this possible?
my team pokemon are only at around level 70 and it’s taking really long to level them up. Does anyone have any tips?
i just checked the level leaderboard and the full world speedruns (example: battle for the moon speedrun) are gone, and there’s just the ils.
So if you keep clicking up then z then up then z you’ll start moving in the way the characters are facing. If you pair this with the left or right arrow keys and you jump, you can cross long gaps in certain levels. It’s like Grab boosting without gaining height.
so if you mess up or don't think you can do the 8 bridge jump then just double wall jump (a wall jump but you do a double jump instead of a single jump) and you should get over it and you won't have to do the puzzle normally.
so i was messing around in gless boss and found that if you go on the wall that the boss will go to (e.g the boss rolls to the left, go to the left wall) when he comes, he'll hit you, he'll go to the middle, jump, but the enemies spawn before he actually jumps.
so in 11 if you jump right before the small slope that brings you into the loop you can hold jump and you'll jump on the end of the loop, giving you speed. and if you jump before completing the level you have enough speed to jump all the way to the cart in 12.
If I roll the boss without doing phase skips does it still count as a glitched run?
so just jump at a place where you hit the corner of the third crusher (jump closer if it’s lower) and it will send you really far for the star. then you can skip the next cycle. saves like 5 seconds
PS: You can corner jump on it, but hit the ceiling part where the bottom of the crusher can’t move any further up.
So when you finish 35, it waits for the box to fully explode to bring you to the next level. But, you can wait for it to explode then go yourself. Would be a very small timesave though.
