screw it I'm down
oh so THAT'S why my computer broke the day after I did chaos%...........................................................
you could disable your antivirus temporarily, then whitelist the chaos% files and re-enable it. It depends on your antivirus though.
Why do series pages show so many genres and platforms that the HUGE majority of the games in the actual series actually cover? I don't think this was the case before.
This has been brought up before, but I don't like the amount of space the top bar takes up, and how everything is so very spaced out. If there can be a max size set for this kind of stuff I think it'd be better (imagine this on a 4k monitor, I don't think it'd be very pretty.)
I made a load removal script for LiveSplit. Look at my most recent GTAVC VoD to see it in action.
It pauses the timer during the island transition screens, starting replays, entering/exiting interiors, time taken to load mission [cutscenes], and the "Loading..." screens when you load a save (or at other times, I think). Let me know if there's anything missing I should add to it.
Once we agree that it's done, I will make it an option on the leaderboard. At that point, I highly suggest anyone who will run the game to use the loadless timer, but it's just in the works for now.

Despite the apparent inconsistency and "slowness", it's definitely a good thing to go for in races (which nobody does anymore so this post is pointless).
Or just dupe the mission if you have no ambulance and no phone call. That also seems to work.
In the game capture properties, try checking "stretch image to screen" and "ignore aspect ratio"
Are you using OBS studio or just regular OBS?
If you're using regular OBS, then game capture should work just fine, it always has for me. On OBS studio, the source might take some messing around with to get it to work, involving combinations of OBS studio restarts and game restarts.
As for LiveSplit, I'm not sure if window-capturing it would work with the game in fullscreen with one monitor. If you have two, then put it onto your other monitor. Otherwise you might have to run the game in windowed mode.
I never went for this because the time loss is more worth it than missing him completely on a godly cop car start imo.
It could be used, but it wouldn't be worth routing in, I think. The way I have things in my route, taxi stuff is all done downtown, so either RNGing a taxi or bringing one over from downtown doesn't sound too great. On top of that, PCJ Playground gives me a good excuse to go to the roof of the building for Ocean Beach Chopper Checkpoint, as the double USJ kinda prevents me from doing either both USJs or the chopper checkpoint without going back up. Nice find, though.
It seems that PS2 FDS causes a music glitch (which might also happen on SDS? I forget) and that the disc sometimes randomly stops spinning with FDS (also might happen on SDS but idk). To top that off, I have vague remembrance of the game running more smoothly on PS2 than on PS1, but I still don't even know about that.
For things that I am certain about, the PS3 PSN store version is a PAL version (not available in NTSC regions like the USA) and even then runs like complete shit. That should be expected of all PSN store versions of PS1 games though so it's not really a surprise.
Pitpo mentioned something about a xebra emulator that ran really accurately but had a softlock at some point. cookie used it too, but Pitpo says it's a much older version that cookie used (with no softlock of course), so that could be dug up somehow.
