So, I don't speedrun this game (I do Mario 64) but I do casually play Sunshine in Dolphin (with only the greatest moon jump and infinite hover and no gravity spin jump codes) and I was doing Gelato Beach red coins when i realized something: Mario swims faster if you go ABABAB to go up down up down when swimming. Can anyone confirm this?

Forgot something regarding my LBLJs, I have to TAS my LBLJs with a TAS input plugin, STROOP, and Mupen64. I'm really bad at timing stuff...

I get the same thing too, where occasionally I'll have a weird angle, but still start a BLJ, but Mario will get stuck and clip through the stairs into the top of Wet-Dry World. Dunno how you got water at the bottom though... I always get the very top. But yeah, that's normal.

So I just thought of something: if someone was to, let's say extend the looping part of the infinite stairs infintely or something, and Mario started a BLJ, would he infinitely build up speed before something happens? Remember, this idea has the loop extending very far, so PU movement may or may not happen (not 100% sure how those would work). Any thoughts?

So i started 16 star runs with PJ64 1.6 about a month ago, but my best runs are still 33:46.75. I've been messing around with LBLJ but I'm pretty bad at it and haven't gotten it right. Here are my split times: First 4 stars and Behind Chain Chomp's Gatein Bob-Omb Batttlefield (no Bomb Clip[i suck at it]) and first 3 stars in Whomp's Fortress (11:47.16) Enter Bowser Dark World (12:22.84) Get the Basement Key (14:41.98) Do first 4 stars in Lethal Lava Land (no log skip, I just burn to the other side) and first and last stars in Hazy Maze Cave (no skips for the first star) + Toad Star in HMC room (21:06.64) Do the MIPS glitch (i don't Z-drop him)(22:03.29) Do the Dire Dire Docks sub (from the back wing) and enter Bowser Fire Sea (23:43.09) Get the Upstairs Key (26:16.76) Do the 2 BLJs and enter Final Bowser (27:38.96) Beat the Game (33:46.75)

If anyone has suggestions other than the ones i mentioned and the LBLJ, plz let me know. I play the game a lot these days and love to improve. Thanks!
