Well, I don't think it's really THAT bad-

First of all, to perfom the glitch, you need to: 1. Choose place where you want to put the barrel, 2. Hit catalogue, 3. While the screen fades away, place the barrel. While it sounds simple, you need pretty good timing. If you place the barrel too earliy, the revenue won't go negative and you'll loose time. If you place it too late, the screen will go black and the barrel won't be placed, thus loosing time again. Second of all, because bonus revenue is set on negative, the game freaks out and spits whatever value it wants to, meaning if you get too much money, you'll loose time AGAIN. Sometimes, it may even give you as much as 100,000$ worth of bonus revenue! and you CAN'T reset the game during money couning, or the game will send you back to your previous day

On top of that, there won't be "balance of choice". In fruit punch clown minigame, movement of children is pretty random, so you have to wait random amount of time so they would line up. And you have to do it 10 TIMES, PERFECTLY. It's just obvious that you have to use Hops to actually get consistent money.

IMO... It's just not a very good idea to be honest
