While in a bt3 discord I was in someone brought up the fact that goku's give me your energy can ability can result in a spirit bomb dealing 50k damage if done twice. It sounds like a really good option in terms of beating the ai. At the same, give me your energy requires 2 blast stocks, and to get the huge damage would require 4 plus the additional blast stock needed to activate the super attack. The damage boost is needed but at the same time, the move has one of the longest animations in mid-goku's move list.
It's possible to find more skips in the game as we already know about the ability to beat all the battles without activating a cutscene or do a character switch. Also, I found out that the best way to get score a perfect while completing with a decent time is to to the following moves: Wavedash Ascend and descend to go behind the back Throws(varies on the character) Stat Boosts
Also, I find it a lot easier to use rush supers compared to beam supers since I noticed that ai will literally stand there and let it happen. Beam supers are great because of damage but the ai dodges it way more and if you miss it that's a waste of valuable seconds that could've been spent on a large scale melee combo or rush super. This is even more evident if your character has an energy attack as an ultimate. Additionally, the correct ki gauge minimum should be 4 since throughout your run you more than likely just using 1 super attack and charging up to do a different one is pretty pointless.
If we continue to keep speedrunning the game we'll find more ways. BT3 is a fast-paced and broken game if you look beyond the tutorial mode of the game. From my time playing against people online, the most pivotal actions in order to beat someone faster are movement options and character optimization. Also, much like the Broly exploit, I posted a couple of days ago there many ways to exploit character's weaknesses beyond just abusing the braindead story mode ai. For example, during the raditz fight, you save way more time performing piccolo's rush super compared to doing goku's Kamehameha since it's one of the best rush supers in the game and the ai will rarely fall for it.
I'm very curious about this as I don't see many active members on this forum anymore and most of the records of the full story are just pushing below an hour. How far can we go to lower it even more? From my experience discussing with the competitive BT3 members for the past 2 months, I learned how easy it is to destroy the Ai almost to the point where the minimum amount of attacks needed to beat them is air combo ending with a beam super or simply abusing characters rush supers if they have them. As the Ai will fall for a rush super without question. Can saga be beaten in less than an hour? I personally believe so.
Recently I have been looking into the competitive bt3 scene in hopes of looking for things that could help optimize runs. For those who desire to run the special sagas here is a trick found by Italian bt3 player Paige in which he exploits broly's most pivotal buffs that being his super armor. He has the highest super armor in the entire game but this trick easily destroys it. Hopefully tricks like these can be utilized for future speedruns
For those who are unaware of the competitive bt3 scene legendary super saiyan broly is universally known as the best character in the game because of the advantages he has over the rest of the roster.
This was done on the pcsx2 1.6.0 emulator so it can't be submitted. I still plan on doing more saga runs and posting them to my channel.
Please do since it seems a lot of us who want to run don't have access to a physical copy
