Breadpan, for clarification, the cutscenes he's referring to are the ones directly after you beat the last boss till the start of the credits. You can't skip those. You can only skip the text when it appears.
This is why if it was last hit along side mashing through credits, the last game would be locked via longest post-final boss cutscene. That is why it's one or the other because either complete freedom order or complete locked order. Not one game is locked in place and the others are free. This is why the final split on ycg logo was proposed. For complete equality of having any game in any order.
So once the release of King Knight's campaign happens, there will be an All Characters tab under the character tabs to be used for any of the 4 main categories (or anything that applies to all characters). The debate here is whether one should have to skip the credits for each game via mashing, or if allowing the game to be turned off and back on (which is a different amount of time for each console and from one PC to the next) should be the the way of moving from one character to the next in the category. We have a way to make it not a fixed character order for either choice if that is your concern (via splitting at YCG logo after final character/fade to black on final cutscene).

Adding this particular version of cheat mode category to the leaderboard opens a can of worms for every single person who has their own version of cheats they like to play being a category. And to be completely honest, having a category on this leaderboard where you can't die or take damage would personally bother me on an integrity level.
Reminder that you do not need a leaderboard slot to run a category. Enjoy running the game however you like.
It took me 20 minutes to figure out that video. Through the fact the bitrate was about zero, the actual pb was 3 resets into the vid, then figuring out that you had paused the timer. I timed it the length of the video from when the run starts (something like 1:30 in) and when you got last hit. That equals your time.
If you're following the inputs I gave, the only adjustments to make is when you're bursting after the transition. It's a slightly tight timing to burst back into the transition before you fall back down.
No one posts, because we have a public discord now (that you can find the link to in this forum actually). Everyone asks their questions there now cuz it's very active.
The route can easily be seen from watching a run. Since no one seems to be jumping on making a vid, the best thing you can do is ask questions in the discord.
The zip in Plains is done by going near the screen transition, jump, bomb jump, double jump, bomb jump into the transition, right after the transition finishes, bomb jump back, repeat that step, and you're there.
Tohloo's been saying he's making it for a year. We still await. lol
Things don't have to be on the leaderboards for you to enjoy running them. The community has raced a similar category before. One thing that makes your category impossible is magic use. You'd run out very fast. What we did in our race was use the code that gives you enhanced fishing rod from the start (doesn't use magic). The only requirement was all bosses had to be defeated only using fishing rod (save the ones that are impossible to beat with). Levels were normal.
Hello, yes our community is still plenty active. Mostly on Discord. Here is an invite to it: https://discord.gg/ZeK4j
You can find race partners there.
Timing for the run is RTA (real time not in-game time). If you have trouble figuring it out, just submit your best guess, and I'll edit it to put the correct time.
Invite sent. For anyone else looking for this in the future, feel free to msg me on Twitter for it.
It is not necessary, no. There's been an RNG patch to make them all the same. Most of us do because it's easier to stream and because half of the runners use keyboard. But no, feel free to run it on your console.
