My reason behind holding off is that when the version of the engine is public that has the bug fixxed, then how will you handle it? My idea is to have the version of SMBX used on the leaderboard as a column, but I have no idea how to do that.
I say no only because they are getting a re-write by beta-4. The bug with switching playables on the world map is only in SMBX 2 Beta 3 as well. I think the only way to allow it is to have a version number on the leader board and I have not found out how to do that.
I may do a run of Invasion 2 in a month or two.
I disagree with number 4. What is considered an input? If I press x(run) for example, that is an input but it doesn't take me anywhere. Wouldn't it be easier to explain the rules when it starts on file select? Also, The Invasion 2 has been file select all the time and I think it should be hold the same consistent.
Not quite. If it was on the file selection screen (Which is removed come SMBX 2 Beta 4), then you need to have times with and without loads.
I don't know how to use discord, what are you doing there? I've problems with catching up now...
Well, easier to see when others are online or not. It is like Skype, but for gamers. I can see you joined the DIscord Server, but never have it on. I also see by the lack of an avatar that it was probably your first time using it. This is the text that ToRRent stated two years ago:
- All version allowed
- These campaigns:
- The Princess Cliche (OLD)
- The Great Castle Adventure Must be played with Mario character.
- All campaigns are available in SMBX Episode manager.
- If campaign gives you ability to select character at the beginning, you can pick but YOU MUSTN'T change character during run.
- The timer must start when you accept save slot (beginning of campaign).
- The timer must stop when you will do last gameplay action (ex. You killed final boss, You collect last star)
- VOD is necessary to submit a run.
and I think they should be
- no cheats
- timer stops on last gameplay action
- video required
- timer starts on first input on world map / when game start level begins
and I agree with this. I was wondering what the others thought. There are reasons for the thought of a change.
May I ask where the extra 4 seconds came from on my last submission?
I do not even know what a VoD is, but I forgot to hit publish earlier. It should be viewable...
Got a time of exactly 0:50:42.00 without rounding. I am debating on submitting it or not with how big of a mess up I did to lose out on a two minute time safe.
The reason for changing the background theme is because of the cutoff it has. If I had the .lvl file and graphics or bust graphics, I could recreate it without the cutoff.
I think I may have gotten a potential fourth or fifth runner for the episodes. The reason I was asking was because I am active on both this and the SMBX forums. I am not sure if I am allowed to update the background theme or not. Same goes for the the fake box art, but I am very active on the official SMBX forums, so maybe it would work out that way. I would like to help out as well.
Edit: I think a discord server for us would also be nice...
Wish mine did not contain personal info or I would email him.
How did you even get that? (Something that is normaly kept away from the net.)
Eitherway, I feel like it would be rude to just ask on a YouTube comment.
I do not know how to define it.
Touché. He might also see this?
I guess, but I do not know Youtube still does PM/DMs or not.
Well, I was planning to ask on November 30th, but I have no way to contact him.
Then would I request moderator from ToRRent or you?
What are the requirements to be a modderator on a game?
