Hi all! i stumbled across this mod: https://www.reddit.com/r/lisathepainfulrpg/comments/63u4m7/my_lisa_the_painful_mod_is_finally_out_more_info/
among other things, it allows for cutscenes to be skipped! and every other option seems like it wont affect normal any% gameplay, as most deal with pain mode. Additionally, most if not all of the major bugs with the mod have been resolved according to the thread.
I've heard a lot of people dropped this game because having to sit through the opening cutscene after each reset is brutal, so I thought this would make the speedrun a lot more enjoyable!
as for rules, i would suggest having the timer start when selecting "yes" when prompted to skip the opening cutscene, and have the end be the same as regular any%. If we really wanted to make sure the only mod enabled is cutscene skipping, the npc at the far left reviews what mods are or aren't active.
i'd appreciate if others would test the mod as well, just to make sure its ok!
rather than 100%, i was thinking something more along the lines of "all allies"%. IDK what the routing would be, but it IS possible. Especially cos Ajeet is bugged, and will still join you if you take more than 2 joy. I'd def say buckets would have to be last, due to the nature of how he's recruited
has anyone found anything conclusive about this? im pretty interested how to do it and whats its potential practicality could be
i know the tent camp in area 1 has a 1/3 chance of spawning the raider (which only happens once) and the fire with the dude beating the corpse is 100% safe. i havent really thought about buying more healing, if i have extra mags I'll hit up the merchant before heading to rando land. I spent a few minutes trying to reset for a safe rest in area 3 before i remembered he was there oops
Hi! It seems the mods for LISA: the painful are inactive! I've only recently started speedrunning myself, but apparently I'm not the only one waiting to have runs approved. The game isn't run very often, but I'd at least like to be there for the people still playing the game.
Hi! I just started learning the speedrun for the game. I was trying to emulate Harpa's current WR, but I ran into a snag. I ended up having a LOT more trouble keeping my party healthy. Ended up really struggling with the Rando fight since I didnt have enough healing items. Any suggestions on what moves to use / when healing is really necessary in the run? Thanks!
same here. Just started learning how to run the game, so I'd def wanna make sure my runs are getting checked haha
