Would this mean that the rake runs would be placed now, and then archived once they're nerfed, or they wont be placed at all?
the thing with any%, is that warrior is by far the fastest class as of right now, so in this kind of leaderboards with mixed classes warrior's gonna dominate anyways
Could you elaborate? i have no idea what this means
My splits are setup as following @Flicker_Monke
I also wrote the pace that you should be aiming at for each split, if you're going for sub 1h, 55m, 50m, etc.
@Flicker_Monke There's no way to automate it in poe sadly, you have to manually press it. It's annoying at first but you should put your splits during load zones so you have time to click your hotkey. If you're interested in which different splits you should have for act 1 i can send you mine
i actually do deathwarps sometimes when i see it being useful cause unlike restart at checkpoint, they refill my flasks
BetaTestCoinYoutubeX that makes absolutely no sense. If you have a deathless run it's most likely gonna be faster than a non deathless run anyways due to the fact that u didn't lose time dying. And who cares about deaths anyways? If a run is faster despite having deaths, its faster period
Fifus, the reason why /played isnt used is because its not accurate. Imexile tested it i believe and the closer you are to texas the less time it will say, making a difference of even a few minutes in a 1h run.
If you really want to compete and you have decent wifi, i 100% recomment nvidia geforce now. I have a macbook air 2020 that took 30s to load on POE1 but since i got a subscription to geforce now i have perma 120fps with every single graphic setting maxed out, even in poe 2.
Is there a discord dedicated to poe speedrunning somewhere? i think it'd be nice to discuss strats and just to have a place for the speedrunning community to chat
Do we have to grab renly's tools in the orcarm village? is that considered a quest we have to complete
Sandro71 Yes, thats what pretty much everyone does at the moment
the main thing isn't even the tedium to get 0 gold, is the having to show all of my stashtabs beforehand. If i could have 0 gold, after a bad run id just go to town, get 0 gold, and on the next run i show my inventory with 0 gold when i'm on the clearfell beach. But on act 1 runs, literally no one uses stash and it would not make any sense to do so, and its not that hard to check if someone opened stash during a run, a quick 1 min skim through a run could allow you to see tht the player didnt even open the stash at all
However i understand that it might be tedious for the verifier moderator so i dont mind it as much
BULROK before every run starts, you have to show (with another character) that you have exactly 0 gold, and that all of your stash tabs are empty. Then you can proceed to log off and make the actual speedrun character and do the run.
It's pretty annoying but it is what it is for now. When GGG fixes the league migration feature, then all of this wont be necessary.
I 100% agree that the Act 1 Any% category should be a thing. I speedrun this game more than i actually played to progress, and I find A1 Any% way more interesting (and fun) than Act1 pts since every single Act 1 Pts quest is straight up easy, timeconsuming and just boring to do (freythorn/crowbell)
For now i'm going to continue playing Any% gathering more runs, and hope that the mods will add it as a category in the near future.
Personally i find Act 1 any% to be way more interesting than Act 1 Pts, due to the fact that the only real change in the run is that we have to do freythorn, that can last anything between 4 to 10 minutes depending on your rng with the layout. Everything other than that are mostly very easy bosses that you probably find on the way anyways.
In my opinion there should be both Act 1 any% and Act 1 Pts, but I understand if you want to keep as few categories as possible to avoid having like 3 runs per category due to low amount of speedrunners at the moment
How are we supposed to reset to exactly 0 gold without it taking ages sometimes? I try selling stuff until its a multiple of 25, but sometimes its not possible and the only way would be to farm gold out of town, taking ages
why not call it A6 100% for the all points/ascend/perma upgrades
I feel like this rule pretty much makes everyone who has a slower pc completely unable to compete, considering how many instances you have to enter in the campaign. I have counted that most runs have around 25 load screens in act 1 ALONE (counting log outs).
If a player has a 2 sec load time and another has a 6 second load time, this is setting the second player 1:40m back only on act 1.
Now imagine THAT but on a full run, maybe with someone with an even worse pc getting 10 second load screens (which is just slightly below average), that also has to bear with the decrease in fps and general worse performance in areas. This can straight up set an act 10 run back 30-40 minutes!
In my opinion, changing this rule allowing for the runs to be timed with IGT would make the entire leaderboard more fair and way more accessible to the ones who may want to speedrun but can't on a high level due to their computer.
If this isn't possible, or has already been considered, i'd love to hear the reason. Maybe it's too hard to time the runs?
