Update: Just finished an untimed run of simon. Best to use the cross as sub-weapon because you can carry it through to the edge of the screen if you throw it to the opposite direction. For Samus Im still trying but I work well with the Ice beam over the wave beam.

Practicing for any% hard but its very, well, hard. Attempting with most characters but havent found a good stategy, especially for 1-2. Anyone got any strategies or is also running the game?

Splits are personal, but for the standard Super Mario Bros. the split is every time the new level is loaded. I do it every-time the black screen shows because I'm too used to it. Ultimately its up to you.
