@2KLS1, No worries dude. I'm not a mod or anything on here but I helped Gemini beta test his Rebirth patches before they were released. I've used all of his patches and I'm having trouble remembering if I also didn't see battle mode was gone or not since I don't play it that often.
Just to make sure it's not your version of the game that's causing issues first. I would do a fresh vanilla version of re2 and then try and see if it will work again. Here is the classic rebirth page again. If it still results in the same thing. I'm not 100% sure then. Gemini isn't on social media anymore it looks like.
@pelutudo , unfortunately, that version of RE2 isn't going to work because there isn't an auto-splitter for console versions of the game. Your best bet, if you want to do auto-splitting, is to use the program AutoSplit. You essentially set it up to have the program look for certain still images and criteria to split on. It's a bit to set up, but the instructions are fairly through. Hope this helps!

For the C4 Rocket strat, you only need to stand right in front of the C4 and shoot when there is only 1-2 seconds remaining so that when you shoot the rocket, the animation that Leon/Claire does gives I-frames and isn't thrown back by the C4 blast. I usually aim at the floor while standing as close to the C4 as possible. I'd recommend making a save (at the bottom of the stairs) and practicing that.
Now as far as the Marvin cutscenes are concerned. The library skip you basically shoot towards the middle of the corner square on the ceiling, all while walking into the cutscene trigger. It does take some practice and timing to get down but you can again use the save I recommended to practice. Now for the 2nd Marvin cutscene skip, just aim at the floor as soon as you can take control of Leon/Claire and walk into the call trigger and it should skip it. Hope this helps!

I'm on a mod on this leaderboard (or will be once it opens) and we will be opening the leaderboard up on the 28th of this month. Just to give time for us mods to see how the game works, how to organize the categories, discuss fps stuff, etc.
How is it breaking the game by adding a fun CE extension for people to play and try out? This patch was officially voted in and just so happens to have an interesting mode that just gives runners something new to try. There are plenty of games out there with CE that are away from the main board. I guarantee it more than likely wouldn't be more popular than any%. I do not see a problem with adding this category for a bit of fun. This is the problem with a lot of RE runners and personalities and I'm not afraid to say it. You're purists, plain and simple. You want the game to be as vanilla as possible and I get it, but this is ridiculous. This game is 20 years old and breathing new life into a potentially fun category sounds dope. If you don't want to see or run "Favorable RNG" then don't. Simple as that. One person's opinion does not speak for the entire community.
Also, I'm saying this without any sort of anger or slight towards anyone. I just can't stand the purist mentality. Make it CE, let people play it and have fun, that's it. If it becomes more popular than any% then so be it. At least the game and the board is alive.
I wouldn't mind RTA timing as well. That was one of the biggest deterrents for me with this was a great deal of inaccuracy with the IGT and RTA. I'd definitely go back if we decided to do RTA.

Having a bit of trouble with the SRT. I run SRTHost64.exe and the cmd window opens up and detects my RE7 version (Microsoft Version) once I open up the game. However, once I open the html file as a browser source in OBS. Everything is not being detected. It's loading the UI, but none of the stats are updating. I've already got the latest version of Core 3.1 installed so I'm unsure of why it's not reading it. Thoughts? Thanks btw for doing this!
You don't have to close the game out after you save and switch discs. Once the game asks you to insert Disc 2 go to File>Change Disc in the Dolphin menu and then choose the CVX Disc 2 ISO and it should load it just the same. No need to close out of the game at all. Hope this helps!
