Welcome and good luck on achieving your goal! ⭐
How can you type in a country?! I only have a drop down menu. 🤔
Welcome and good luck on your future runs! 🎮
@Timmiluvs Makes sense that somebody would keep proof. Thanks!
I guess a problem could arise when it comes to cheating. Imagine this: Somebody submits a fake run that gets verified. Someone else discovers the run is fake and calls it out. The cheater deletes the video of the fake run. Should the call out be ignored then because the run got verified? I know the mods here are doing a great job but sometimes even the best mod could make a mistake and verify a fake run. What should be done in such a case?
I used to change my username on Steam all the time, sometimes several times a day, because I didn't find any name I actually liked. Until I got stuck with my current name: Laika. (She was the first living being to orbit the earth, launched into space by the Soviet Union.) I really like this name and will keep it. If you are unhappy with your username you could try other names until you find one that you really like. You have no obligation to stick to a name you don't like. On this forum you can't change your username all the time so if you want to experiment with other names you should probably try it on other platforms without restrictions on changing your username. And if you find one you actually like you can change it here as well.
This might be obvious but have you tried contacting the runner directly to ask?
Thanks for your answer. Yes, the Seahorse fight works pretty well this way. Is there a way to manipulate the second boss fight against the moray eels? Swimming in the upper left corner doesn't seem to work for me. Also, the first fight against Ursula is not really possible to manipulate, is it?
I'm new to this site so I made the mistake of deleting a run when it was still pending because I had beaten that PB in the meantime and submitted the new PB instead. If I I re-submit the old run for keeping a history of my PBs and set the date to when the old run was recorded (which was obviously before the new run) will it show up on my profile chronologically or does it always show the runs in the order they were submitted?
I guess it depends on what you mean with pause. If you mean pausing the game to take a toilet break for example, it should be fine as long as you keep the timer running. If you mean pause as in pause the game AND pause the timer it would not be a single-segment run anymore which is what most rules for speedruns require. (This thread should be moved to the Speedrunning forum I guess.)
I currently started running this game and I really enjoy it. From playing myself and from watching runs from other people I tried to figure out how RNG works in this game and how it can be manipulated. The most obvious example of RNG manipulation seems to be the walrus boss of level 3 Sea of Ice. By jumping on the ice you can manipulate the RNG to always throw shells which you need to damage and defeat the walrus. But how does RNG manipulation work with the other bosses? Is it even possible? I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences on this.
Thanks for this guide, I'm sure it'll help me out. 🐶
Welcome and good luck. Any idea yet which games you want to run?
I'd love to see that! (Today I finished the game for the first time casually 👻)
Welcome! Do you want to run Cuphead? Or something else?
I once saw a video about a game (pretty sure it was a 2D platformer) where you could find a certain food (it may have been garlic but I'm not sure) pretty early in the game and when you carried it to the last boss (which was quite a hassle) you could instantly defeat the boss because they were allergic to the food. Does anyone know what game that is? I couldn't find it online.
Edit 1: I just found it on YouTube, it's Spelunky where you can defeat the boss with an eggplant. Found in this video:
Edit 2: Seems like it has nothing to do with allergy? It just turns the boss into an eggplant?
