According to http://speeddemosarchive.com/CutthroatIsland.html the 14:29 run is actually from April 7, 2012; the date January 2, 2014 is just when the video was uploaded to YouTube. Not sure how much it matters, but I just figured I'd mention it here

Not that I know of. One of the mods could make one... but tbh there are relatively few active runners of this game so idk whether they'll think it's worth it. Personally I'd be happy to join it
