https://streamable.com/u1klab << Video of OOB
Simple to do. head to the light house corner in that video and run UP towards the lighthouse. While holding UP, save and quit the game. Once you reload the game, you'll be slightly inside the lighthouse. Hold RIGHT and DOWN (slightly) to get into the beach (which i didnt do in the video)
Now for being OOB (out of bounds), the only directions you can go is LEFT or UP. That's just how the glitch works. When holding RIGHT you'll go LEFT, and when holding DOWN you'll go UP. When you are OOB, there's also a timer that will reset you to your last known good area. There are 2 ways to prevent that:
- You land on somewhere in the overworld that is in bounds
- Save and Quit after you move a little bit to extend your OOB travel.
That's about it. Once you mess with it for a minute, you'll see it's very easy to do. This glitch works with any border that is above you in the overworld. The lighthouse was the only useful place i could find for a run.
I just saw this message (07Nov20) so i'm VERY sorry for the late response. There really isnt much to teach. I think i explained it in another post around here somewhere. The only 2 glitches i use is duping rubies the overworld one. The overworld one is also very simple
EDIT: oh yea there's also this wild looking menu glitch but i didnt find anything useful with it
No resources. I like to explore and find things. I hardly found anything in this though.
There should be a glitchless category. i think because there hasn't been anyone running it, there isn't one up there. With regards to glitches, there hasn't been very many found. Even in my run, there are only 2 glitches I used. The overworld OOB and Ruby Duping. If you're interested in learning them, I can teach you both of those in about 2 minutes lol. Neither are difficult at all.
I know this page seems a little dead, but are any of the mods available to review submissions?
Edit: Here's a link to the run I submitted
You should join the discord. We have lots of discussions of strats and ideas for runs. We've talked about Any% Wyatt, Glitchless and Any% Reina, but none of us have actually done a run yet.
I've never tried the emulator. ESGPuppetmaster runs the PAL version. We haven't seen much of a difference between the 2 other than the music video
I'm not sure if there is now sudden interest in this game but I have created a discord so we can all get together and discover more.
I have recently been practicing it to try and update the run time, but there aren't really new strats from what I have right now. Also, I'm putting some route together for an All Runes category.
Quick intro about me, i'm in the navy and while being underway i've been working on VaLdis glitchless for Wyatt and Reina. I actually have a route for both but no idea if i have made it perfect. unfortunately, i still have to go out to sea for a little bit more. When i get back, i will submit my runs to at least show what i have. Just wanted to show that someone else is interested and i'm happy to hear from you all so i can further my knowledge.
So far with Reina, pure INT build seems to work as long as God enchant is on. I dont gather any other armor or weapons
With Wyatt, i've been trying holy and dark builds, all STR. So far, dark wins with leech. i've been getting stuck on last boss (phase 2) with both builds. I will be trying Wyatt with the Holy swords and the bow to see if that helps any. My route using dark runs through the Raven anyway for the bow (jet black feather). When trying Holy build, i get the paladin armor and with the dark build i grab the Dreadnaught Armor (requires demon key to get).
The only thing i've seen from previous patched runs they were doing was killing Manowar. I have version 1.0.0.25 (i think the most current) and he's insanely hard to beat. I havent been going that way when heading to Zuggarat. The angel in the same area with Reina is difficult too due to the constant spellsteal, so i've been heading through the sewers to get to Ishk.
This is just a little amount of details for what i've gone through. I'll give much more information when i return from sea. Thank you.
