On a more serious note: The best thing to do for an established speedrun like Splatoon would be to watch some speedruns of it. That way you can see and learn the current strategies of the game first hand and learn the route of the game. After that I would look for a (at least mostly) up to date tutorial for running the game. These often are better for learning, and are usually explained in detail, with button presses, movement and such.
After that it's basically practice, practice, practice.

They don't support basic HTML, but posts in the guide section will automatically try to embed links to images/videos I believe.
@LightningLuke81 - All 5 supermods of Torneko: The Last Hope are active. Take it up with them first. This is a -Last Resort- thread, and should only be used if the current mods are inactive or outright not listening to the people who play the game.
As for having a pending run, people don't always have a lot of time on their hands, and aren't expected to verify any and all runs that are pending every time they visit the site. Give it a bit of time before saying you have a run pending.
You have settings for the individual games you follow too. You may have some email options checked in those. Tick the "Apply default to all followed games " and then press save and this should hopefully fix your problem.
If you're talking about the mods/admins of the site, I would imagine they're impartial to it because they have no reason to be presiding over the boards here. Whatever is allowed, is allowed by the mods and the community of each individual game and is solely their choice.
pld - Don't highjack a thread, go talk on your own forums. Everyone is sick and tired of hearing about Toy Story 2 in threads that have nothing to do with it.
Like Deln said, if a game doesn't exist on speedrun.com you can request it at the link he provided. The request process can take up to about a week, so don't worry if it doesn't get added right away. Do note that this makes you the moderator of the game and you are required to set the game up with categories and such within 2 weeks of the page being made, otherwise the page is removed and you must request it again.
Here is a Google Doc with most/all of the currently known tricks in the game: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1PDcAItDYdkUAM4vbE3XQkblMXHWbTcC1-Em3TIaQEJE/edit
@Skyrim_Ninja Quoted from 1st post - "Moderator inactivity doesn't apply until around 3 weeks, depending on other circumstances, and it is expected that you try to contact them (exceptions may be made if they have been offline ~3+ months.)" [Using Sanic Ball Mods] One Mod has been on in the past 5 hours, the other was active a week ago. As such your request doesn't fall under that requirement
Quoted from 1st post - "Please keep in mind that using this thread is somewhat a last resort, in case the current moderators are not responding or refusing your help without justification." [Again, using Sanic Ball here] There is no forum thread asking to be a moderator, and it doesn't seem like you've put any effort in to actually try and contact the mods.
Both items above also relate to the Sonic Fan Games series. Both mods of the series have been online in the past 24hrs, and there is nothing in the series forums. Do note that not every game gives permissions to the series mods, which is why Token/HyperSonic have no power in the Sanic Ball boards.
Not a problem, I had the exact same problem too.
On a side note, since most Lego games don't have a "windowed mode" option. If you want to play in windowed mode there is a program called DXWnd - I Made a post in a previous thread about it here http://www.speedrun.com/lswtcs/thread/di2lj
@swagalina Where have you asked for ILs to be added, because the forums are looking pretty bare, and Jumpyluff follows near 250 people on twitter. Things might just get buried down in there.
Remember - This is a LAST RESORT thread, once you have exhausted ALL contact methods, which of course includes the leaderboard's sub-forums.
Keep waiting. If it gets to three weeks AND you have exhausted all possible means of contact for the mod in question, then there is a moderator request thread in "The Site" area of the board.
You may also need to install the .Net 3.0 framework. Was the 4.5 install from XSplit, or did you download it separately? If it wasn't a separate installation, try a separate installation. Many programs pack just the essentials for the program and nothing more.
- In Livesplit's settings, make sure "Global Hotkeys" is checked.
- Run in Administrator mode. [This is more for games with overlays, like steam or GfWL, but ensures that the key presses pass]
@Gyoo - Limbo is a term for something being in an uncertain state, in this case, a run awaiting approval. "an uncertain period of awaiting a decision or resolution; an intermediate state or condition."
@Bigpumkin - Up to 1 week is the usual timescale for approval depending on the game, but 3 weeks is the general "cut-off" point for a reasonably active game. Try going to the Mod's profiles and poking one or two on whatever social media they have connected to their accounts. Twitter is usually the best, but with Twitch's newish PMing system you may be able to get hold of them on there pretty easily too.
It is the first of the two, which makes it a logical go to for the Lego Indiana Jones games, and most people prefer sticking to just a few games. It's also older, and has a better Metascore, so more people are likely to have access to it.
Personally I haven't touched it yet because it's currently unrun and learning and routing a game takes a long time. I do intend on running it at some point, but probably not soon honestly. I'd rather learn LSW:TCS and then work on the other 2 Lego Batman games.
Connect your account to your Twitch.tv account (Which you have) and you will appear on the streams page whenever you're live on Twitch.
