Best bet would be an earlier version of the game on steam. I know some games let you download previous patches but I'm not sure about all games since I run on Switch myself. If you haven't yet, check with some of the PC runners in the Speedrun Discord Server to see if anyone has any more info for you!

I think the difference really just comes down to comfort-ability for most runners. I find certain motion control throws to be a bit easier to do with Pro Controller myself, but really at the end of the day it truly is just a preference

Thankfully, the latest version of Odyssey is the preferred method of running the game so playing physical is no problem at all go nuts.

It seems most runners like to use Pro Controller, and I myself switched to it after years of doing runs with Joy Cons. But go with whatever set up works best for you!

This was something I had considered when setting up the categories. I'll have individual levels with all difficulties added in the next week!
