not a super expert on the topic, but im fairly confident that doesn't change anything for people who alredy controls into modding in their switch (bricks have happened before, caution has always been an important part of the proccess, now what they do on Switch 2 is not on my current knowledge). If you alredy have a modded switch, as long as you don't put global connection on or do anything that pretty much stands out as a risk you are probably fine.
@NoamIsrael there has been answers for it alredy where you didn't realy add anything new, and the author is literaly banned, I think the thread can be considered resolved kinda
I find getting a full letter glitch for that purpose harder for me than just doing jump rope lol but if you realy don't like doing jump rope legally then sure (consider just practicing a safe normal jump rope lol)
@NoamIsrael this probably has alredy been resolved considering it was posted 8+ months ago, no critics just a heads up you may want to check the post dates a bit lol

Rather casual and new user into these kind of comunities, just haves fun with whatever comes to mind
-
Has heard of speedruns, the idea of playingh fast sounds fun
-
"Hey what if I did this? I like this idea I should speedrun it!"
-
The site has a forum. Forums in an speedrun site would be spected to be about speedruns, and you wanna talk about an speedrun yo letsgo :D !
-
You don't mind it that much, you just make a post because it would be fun
This mindset is very much to be spected among new users in speedrunning, people is just not that integrated in the philosophy of "there is a threshold of strict values a category has to have for it to be purposed" or into the fact that no one likes the forum and they want them to just get into the discord for it; and to be fair, one common post in the forum with a litle symbol at the left of the title isn't necesarily that striking for people just getting in on a place where there isn't any other major indicator that there is some specific comunity rule you should follow
Is just bond to happend. And a lot of times you see it from users that created their account the same day just the made the post, which backs this up pretty well.
well the rules very specificaly say 'Collect all moons that are inside of sub areas. Sub areas are any area that will have Cappy say "I remember this place!" or "Doesn't seem like there's anything left to do here..." any time you enter it during the post game beyond the first time entering it.'
that's actualy a very good observation, are those still included in?
so that's possible? there is only 5 digits in the counter at first
it will not be an official unmodified version of the game, so yea not valid
also he is named "Glydon" if you were interested
I could make a lot of questions on how the category would work, but the best generaly is to try speedrun it yourself with the ruleset in mind and see if it works as a category for you, you can share that then and perhaps in the discord better to see if anyone is interested on it, and check this too https://www.speedrun.com/smo/forums/yjy3d
Congratulations on the first blindfolded completion!
Would be cool to have a category for it yea
that for sure came out of nowhere
considering the amount of times it has come up, and it has been runned as well, I would not see a problem with giving it to them aside from a very unespecific timing ruleset for the end, unless you consider too maniac to try go to kill a baby penguin just because
if you wanna purpose a category on a leaderboard, I recommend at least showing as well a video with your speedrun of it, for one is generaly spected to be willing to at least try speedrun their idea if they are so invested in it to look out for a leaderboard for it; the more interest and participation it shows, the more chances it has to be considered
also this would go for the category extensions but yea
past 3 weeks without verification, you can make an SRC ticket on the matter if you are not able to contact any of the mods individualy
there are 86 runs pending on SRC and no run has been verified in over 2 months seems like, so yea seems like it would be a move
Switch NSO runs at 60fps flat and that's allowed right? It's a problem when the game runs faster even if just slightly, not that much when it just runs slightly slower
tbf one doesn't need 3 days to look into a 30 seconds speedrun generaly, it's normal to wonder how active it has got to be
that being said, there doesn't seem to be that much activity currently, 16 runs are pending submitted during the last 18 days on which only 1 has been recently verified, and you run is 13th in there, so yea who knows
tecnicaly the SRC limit is 3 weeks (21 days), which they barely hit with the last verified run (23 days ago verified 2 days ago)
where are videos of that, sounds cool
@Alexithink oooh didn't know that, sounds like it can be a problem then yea
