i would recommend you to look at something like livesplit (or others), but yea if you go with that is perfectly allowed; the multiple tabs rule essentialy refers to not being allowed to use multiple instances of the game at the same time
with bowser amiibo you can instantly spawn bowser at any time you want, which pretty much breaks the whole 6 minutes cycles problem with this game for speedrunning; p easy to notice since early in a run of the category
i could definitely debate about that rule, but indeed it comes from the top of SRC staff so mods of this game can't make a decision there unfortunately
