Imo, TTR isn’t the best game to speedrun. The way it is rn, it’s extremely linear and luck based, to the point it can frankly be pretty boring to watch and play. Looking at other runs, I’ve always thought we could benefit from allowing them. But, I’ve seen in previous threads that clipping and glitches and similar things are banned because it goes against the TOS. When I looked at the TOS myself, however, I noticed that it specifically said that it wasn’t allowed for hurting other player exp and making the game unfair. I thought that, being a speedrun, no other toons game exp would be hurt and therefor things like glitch runs and any% should be legal. To be sure, though, I messaged TTR support asking them, and they responded, confirming my thoughts. This is what they said.

“Here in Toontown Rewritten, we define things like bugs or glitches to be harmless actions that provide no obvious benefit to the player, while also not hindering other's experiences playing the game. The most common example would be getting into the skybox in Donalds Dreamland. It doesn't hurt the game or other players, so it's perfectly fine!

An exploit or cheating would be an action that hinders or harms other players experiences while playing and progressing through the game. An example of this would be skipping to the last battle in a DA Office and leaving your Toon pals in the dust. It's not fun or fair to them, so it violates this rule.

In your example, if you are by yourself and you are doing things like clipping through a wall, that is okay as long as you are not with another player hindering their experience!”

Therefore, I’m asking the mods to start allowing glitches, clipping and exploits to be used in TTR speedruns.

I've noticed some people suggesting categories like gardening% or full completions, and I think those would take way too long for anyone to do without only doing it per split and combining together.

However, I thought, why not suggest a category where the goal is to buy a pet, and maybe get it to do one successful trick? It wouldn't be as long as the others and I could see people coming up with different strategies for it.
