I don't think cheats other than rimbuk are allowed. Below are the rules as they are written today:
Timer starts with the first cutscene, ends when you finish the last race with Savo and unlock the Veloci.
Use cheat code rimbuk, and make sure it's shown in the run. The timer starts when you initiate your first race in Arcade Mode, or at the first cutscene of Career Mode.
rimbuk can be used to gain certain vehicles for career mode. hard0 would actually be slower than hard9 due to racer speed being much slower during follow sequences.
For races that don't give a finish time (Hector 1, Farid 2) be sure to add 0.02 seconds to your timer. The game adds this amount of time to the end of a race when the timer disappears if you do a frame-by-frame analysis.
Edit (10/31/19): this is for 60 fps.
If you want LiveSplit to show with transparent background on your stream, here's how to do it: --right-click on LiveSplit (under OBS Sources) and select Filters. --Click on the + symbol on the bottom left corner of the pop-up screen and choose Color Key. --Click on Select Color and Pick Screen Color. Now you can select one of the background parts of LiveSplit. --You'll need to add as many color keys as necessary to remove all the background colors (you should see them disappear on the OBS preview screen).
Before doing this, you can change the background colors in LiveSplit to a single color and OBS should take care of all the colors in 1 or 2 color keys.
After comparing the emulator version with the PS2 version, I noticed that the emulator is significantly faster. By the end of the third boss, the emulator is 3 minutes faster (I had no deaths).
This is a request to have subcategories: one for emulator and one for console.
Needs a rule clarification. For example, if doing an any% run can the LA time be used for LA%? Can bike any% be used for any% (double-counting)?
Not sure if legal for runs but for casual playthroughs this helps: http://analogbit.com/software/infection_ai/
Just to clarify:
- You only need to complete the races that unlock the cars. Ex: Gina2 for Cohete.
- You can turn traffic off.
- I checked most races in Paris and Tokyo on the PC version. I have yet to check the PS2 version.
Per Kibō: Bestia, Cohete, Fripon X, Monsoni, Stadt, Victory, Lusso XT Only these ones can be glitched afaik SST, 2-Wheel Drive, Burnout, In-Air Control can also be glitched But SST only works after you unlocked NOS, the bar will fill up, but you can't activate it because it basically uses the same functionality as the NOS
Use cheat code rimbuk (this is where the run starts), then finish the races in arcade, then start career The races that glitch those stuff are side races, and have different unlocking rule
And the game doesn't check if you finish those races in career or arcade, so ye That's why the glitch works
