This was over a year ago, by now there's enough strategy improvements that the top runner, MapCollector, is able to reach all of the beginner ILs from back then. Many of the categories never even had a run before the update anyway.

Yeah, still plenty of potential for this delightfully stupid category. My only regret is accidentally having my mic mute for the most beautiful speedrun I'll ever do.

It technically isn't PC only as I know that some offbrand controllers have wide enough deadzones for practically any input to be dead straight. I have a DS4 that has this, so though it's probably an exploit of the given mechanics there are alternatives for those who use controllers on PC and other consoles.

I'd personally have no complaints with this as the tempo requirements on Pro and Legend still provide plenty of challenge, as well as the difficulties reading greens and hitting the right percentages on Legend. Good luck with your runs!

I like the thought, but the game's pretty dead so idk how many people would be around nowadays for it. I'd be happy to do some multiplayer runs with you if you have the game on Steam.

Eh I'm just being overdramatic, it isn't functionally different except for being plenty slower. Also, it hasn't ever been too populated with a bunch of different runners, sometimes it's been just me for a month or two.

Compared to all the times on the board, there's roughly about 30 seconds lost from scorecard loading per round and it's unavoidable. Given that I think most times were within 20 or so seconds of the best possible time as of the update, I don't think it's realistic to get any new WR times with how the boards are set up now. Maybe we could split the leaderboard based on update version? It's a different speed game now anyway.

Just did some simple testing after today's update and it seems that ILs now cannot be played in the same way. Previously, mashing the continue button would allow for a player to advance to the next hole practically immediately after a hole is completed; now, this isn't possible. The game loads a scorecard after every hole that prevents continuation until it is visible on screen, which loses roughly 1.5 seconds per hole by my best guess (need more testing though). I'm 99% sure that that means all the IL times on the board are now virtually untouchable, with the exception of a 4:21 TPC River Highlands that I got a couple days ago and a couple more that have yet to be verified.

This update is likely a non-issue for full game due to the leaderboard showing a similar loss every hole.

The career mode requires a certain position in the FedEx Cup standings by certain points in the season schedule.

First, the playoffs require 125th position or better by the end of the regular season, which is easily cleared by winning a single regular season event. As of now, the last regular season event is the Tributary Championship, which is used currently because there is no simulating time needed if that event is taken, as timing starts on gaining control of the golfer.

Second, each playoff event has a certain cutoff to reach the next event (70th in FedEx Cup standings to advance to Trios and 30th to advance to the Tour Championship). Both of these are cleared by winning the Northern Trust, the first playoff event. The current route takes you to the Tributary Championship, then the Northern Trust, then simulating past the Trios by withdrawing and playing the Tour Championship.

I agree, with the addition of the longest tees. Wind speed has been confusing for individual levels because it started out being left on default, then was set to none for the Scottsdale records in September and with most of my current ones. I think it's safe to assume that wind speed can be set to none in the future. All the remaining conditions probably don't affect time or the way the course plays.
