Every games speedrun can vary in difficulty. It is best to be able to enjoy yourself. The skill will come with practice. You could potentially be spending hundreds of hours on a game so it best to be comfortable and have fun. Don't force yourself into trying to speedrun something you don't enjoy just because others are doing it.
The thing is the game is not finished so the category could literally go from being 100% to 50%. I think it is best to wait for the games release. Define it then.
While there are a lot of games that use japanese for faster text, this is not always the case. As pretty much with every speedrun everything can vary. They may also be running on japanese because a certain glitch may have only been patched in the english version. Maybe they only own a japanese console. (Like how I only have a JP PS2). It really just comes down to the specific game.
This new skip I found in Tron last night called Crazy Fucking Laser Skip. It skips 3 sets of lasers that run on a timer. OpieOP
RTA timing is different for every game and same for IGT. Some games don't even use IGT because they all run on the same hardware. Typically IGT is used if either the game offers it or if it is on PC and they do not want to deal with hardware differences. Every single time it is up to that community. It wouldn't make much sense for Dishonored to use the same timing rules as SM64.

I did a blind run of Duke Nukem Forever and it took me 6hours. I wouldn't consider that a speedrun and more of a death sentence. OpieOP

I have added Any% No Checkpoint warp for the time being. I have told the devs about the glitch just because it ruins the game entirely. They said they are working internally on a fix.
As I said before I will accept runs since I was added to this and do appreciate the game. Just always add your build to the run when you submit it.
When big changes such as fixing the checkpoint warp happen I will just set that category to no longer be the main one. (Any% no checkpoint warp will go back to the main Any% once it is patched basically. Still leaving the times for included checkpoint warp in misc for archiving reasons.)
I am experimenting with the theme of the leaderboard. Trying to make it look unique while still keeping it easy to look at. Feel free to critique. Tried to keep some of the colors of the game logo. Let me know what you like and what you hate.
