Load times are when you exit and reload the game. You do this a few times during flowey to skip some cutscenes. Removing the connection to steam speeds it up a ton

Just a thought. Game just ends when you kill the final bosses

A lot of people say you must run the game on the latest version. But in the resources, there is a patch that lets the load removal work. Is this version allowed? I was just wondering this because it is not the latest version, but the load removal doesnt work without it, and nothing seems to be different anyway (besides a couple things in menus and stuff)

We will be holding two large races in commemoration of 1 year since the game's release. The reason there are two races is to allow people in far time zones to be able to join one.

To find the game files, go to your My Games folder under Documents. Undertale should be in there. For the save files, type %appdata% in the run program to find the local folder, which is where the save files are. You must delete all of the save files before dtarting a run, and any modification of the game files otherwise is banned

I doubt punch card will be patched, because it is completely impossible to get on accident. Somebody would have to just by chance walk into a cutscene and decide to open their menu, and its at the same time, then think "i'm gonna open this punch card" and then walk out. Would be funny though

New Game+ (NG+) has been added as a sub-category for Neutral and TPE. This category involves taking a save file previously having beat Omega Flowey, and starting it over, which allows shaving off about 15 minutes of the run by skipping Monstertale and Omega Flowey. The purpose of this category is to make the run slightly shorter and remove the more boring parts.

All Yellow Credits (AYC) is now a sub-category of TPE.

I like the idea of only allowing color changes and replaced music (as long as it's not silence or similar)

If you speed run a game, it is normal for it to get boring in some parts. That is just a part of it. You can't change visuals or music in ocarina of time, for example, but they still watch the same cut scenes over and over again

I feel it would be best to ban all mods in general, just to keep undertale undertale, and prevent risk of advantages

It takes too long for runs to be verified because most of the mods here are retired or inactive here. There are many people in this community that could make good mods

Multi segment doesn't exist because the runs are already pretty short, and tool assisted runs do not qualify for leaderboards. A TAS is being made by Hectic, though.
