I played Pacifist and Any% Fresh File recently and as you can see I broke old wr in not so many attempts (edit: gg to _Wig got his wr back). A very important factor is the characters or items I used are from SOTV, so there is a huge gap between current patch and 1.0 (or some versions else without SOTV). Therefore I would like to see runs are splited in different patches. It's not only about fair but also giving players more choices to run (some categories are harder in current patch too).

I agree with _Wig and also don't understand why gauntlet mods MUST include this confusing custom stage. The obvious thing is that a non-original stage will make players harder to adapt the environment and spend much time to know the map well. And tbh I never think this stage is any good. Chests and tp are too scattered, and enemy pool is so strange. And the water mechanics is so annoying because it makes most chars harder to move expect loader, huntress and merc etc. That means the mobility gap is even magnified, which has been a problem between different chars before.

Maybe my view on this custom stage is somewhat subjective, but anyway, I really don't understand why we need it.
