Take this comment with a grain of salt, but i believe most of it is correct.
The reason LiveSplit sometimes lags is because the autosplitter we have there tries to get specific values from Human.exe (your game). If that value does not correlate between the autosplitter and Human.exe then it spams LiveSplit with error messages 60 times per second, making LiveSplit lag. This value is different from PC to PC, and even session to session, so if you close and reopen your game, then a new value might be used.
When the autosplitter was written, the author tested on many different users to make sure the values were correct, but some times it will not work.
To fix this, either relaunch the game until it works, switch to the PLCC autosplitter, or check if the author is able to further pinpoint the correct values needed.
Maybe @Permamiss has some insight.
Zman had updated the mod on the resource tab of the base game, so i just copied it over from there now. That new version is compatible with 122 achievements. I am however not a mod anymore so i cannot add a 122 achievement variable to the leaderboard.
The level reprise is just a "part 2" of Ice, you cant go directly to it from level select. Any% as a concept is just from start to the credits, and in the newest versions of the game, the credits show up after you complete Reprise.
Hi, I don't know if you are the one i responded to in the discord server. But team fling was patched when they released the level Dark.
It was achieved when a player (could not be the host of the lobby) would reload checkpoint while any other player were grabbing onto their body. The reason the host could not be the one reloading checkpoint, is because then every player would also be forced to load checkpoint with them, while non-hosts can do so freely without interrupting others.
As Permamiss answered in our discord. This is not what we consider spawn displacement. All players are falling straight down where they should be falling. This is allowed and intended.
Spawn displacement is when a player is using the speed glitch/is in free fall and moving horizontally while the next level is loading. These actions will make your character land in a different spot than intended, and the effect will vary depending on your device's load times. This is what we have banned.
I'm sorry for not answering this earlier, not sure how I missed it. We have no way of controlling version numbers for console, as they do not co-relate with PC at all. For console runs, just pick the latest version regardless.
Sky-dream has an interesting proposition. Grab the floor when you land, no sliding will happen.
As others have mentioned, there is no way for the moderation team to find out if it was deliberate or not.
As the name suggests, submit your suggestion for new categories here.
- Category name
- Which criteria need to be fulfilled
- A video link to a run you have (if possible)
There are ways, but we do not allow submissions of speedruns from the older versions of the game. Only versions that are publicly and easily available without the need of a third party. We used to allow 1.3 and 1.0 submissions when they were available as betas through Steam, but that is no longer the case and as such submissions have been closed for them.
Im bad at explaining, i have uploaded a layout to https://www.speedrun.com/human_fall_flat/resources It is for any% but you can edit layout -> layout settings -> splits -> then reduce total splits to fit your wanted category.
As explained on the resources page, you will still need to add the autosplitter and set the timer to compare against game time.
In the layout editor, you can press the + sign to add another element -> Timer -> (timer of your choice). Then after that is added, go into Layout settings -> Find the timer you want to edit settings for -> Change "Timing method" to either Game time or Real time, depending on which one you want.
I see where you are coming from with the categories getting out of hand, and we will have to address that later. But if you take a look at the sidebar, there is such a thing called "Level Leaderboard", where you can do just that, compete on a single level.
One video of a splitscreen run will do. We can see both views in the same vid.
I'd say it counts as normal coop. Some runs are already posted as that. We don't like splitting the leaderboards more than absolutely necessary. This is the current format we have it in atleast, i cannot say how it will be in the future.
