German is the fastest language due to less text boxes when collecting instruments. (The instrument ending cutscene has 1 less text box per)
Physical is overall slower due to system loads. Digital loads much faster than physical.
The problem with an NMG category is that we'd have to nitpick every single glitch we find and ask "Is this considered a major glitch?" and vote on it. Which I don't particularly like at all.
I think the previous rules kind of suffer from old age. I should probably update those. There's no japanese text patch around as far as I know. (According to KiddoCabbuses)
From the looks of the txt file, they're just sprite changes, except for the magic shield one. Which we don't even get in either any% or 100%.
I'd be fine with allowing the use of it, if you wanted the original master sword sprite and book sprite.

- Check the subfolder "optional patches" for more optional patches!
That one on the list on the website. I'd have to do some more research because I was just handed the rom at some point in my time of running it, and I haven't taken the time to verify which version it actually is.

When I tried using Up+A, it doesn't work as intended. For starters, I started back at start, and it forced me back into Wood Sword cave.
So the time save doesn't seem viable tbh.
I won't get into the discussion here, I'll just DM Dubldrop like they recommended, but I'd like to make a comment to this.

To you, it's fine. But you aren't the only member of the community. You're excluding people with vision impairments. I have members in my community that love the game, but cannot bare to look at the font in its current state, as it hurts their eyes. Hence why I initially looked into font modification in the first place.
"Modifications to the game are not allowed. This includes modifications to the in-game font through either custom font packs as well as the JP <-> EN font swap."
I feel like this rule shouldn't include text modification, as all it does is modify the text. The original text is very painful to read for some runners, and viewers. Is there any chance to discuss this to change?
The rules have been updated for clear conditions, and requirements for the categories.
Changed 100% because it didn't indicate that the bomb upgrades and any key must be collected. Also removed the hylian shield from the requirements as it's not an inventory item, and can be lost to a Like Like.
Should we remove the times on the board that don't meet these new verification requirements?
