yea im on board with everything you have listed, only question is "Must fight all optional enemies". Im assuming that is still part of the main path? as doing optional paths wasnt needed. Like in the instances of the Incubator biome where sometimes the paths fork into a main and optional path.
yea im confused about that, as new runs are being accepted while skipping challenge gates, even tho it seems also in here we are all on board with have all fights be all fights, where the mod also agrees we should do that while also not adding that to the rules
yea thats why i was feeling there should be a minimum amount of things unlocked.
yea the challenge doors should all be opened per Xenadir's rules. i think those should be added to the category rules as thats what the rest of us were following.

yea im on board with doing the combat gate in a forked road with the potion shop. for custom memory decks im not fully sure. i kind of like the idea of running everything and having that part be pure rng. but if everyone discussed and are ok with custom memory decks being allowed then im also ok with it. Should people have everything unlocked to run?
just happened to check this tab right as you posted that lol. I also submitted my older run a bit ago and am going to be practicing runs on the gift update within the next week or so. just waiting on whether or not it will be accepted. So far how ive done it and how i saw another speedrunner do it for this category was all challenge doors. I also did break all incubator tanks because of the potential enemy spawns. as for the fork with potion room, i personally take potion room when it shows up because both choices are technically the main path. but that one can be up for discussion. I thought of it as a funny potential time save
I would be in favor of something like that. If any specific rooms want to be disputed and documented for clarity sake I’m also open to that and willing to contribute when it comes up

When it comes to verifying, most chunks are straightforward, but yea there are a few specifics that can be unclear. i think if we can identify and document the more difficult chunks it would be easier. Although yea noting the seed of the run and verifying it manually may have to be done only in the case of doubt, like if those complex chunks come into play. i feel the 3rd biome has a lot more of those unclear ones than other biomes.
Xenadir what do u think of that same run but essentially not doing the optional paths, just the main path. And still doing the optional gates and challanges. I feel like that would help with being able to verify the run, but still incorporate a heavy fight run
a seeded and unseeded for this category also sounds like a fun idea. would really be a test on how good your mechanics are for seeded.
I ended up trying a run for this myself. Its very similar to ozmourns video, however in incubator he does one extra fight that i do not. That one is technically optional so i didnt do that. I ended my time upon leaving the level not at the end of the fight so it should technically be a 26:27. what do you guys think?
for me a more fight oriented run would be more fun and interesting. my thought was maybe all optional and all enemies on the main path must be fought but also ignore all secrets, this way there isnt a question on if you missed something. This isnt like a 100% run idea i guess, more like a fight run.
