So I got a reply about the boards stating "A game requires some activity before granting these type of boards" so I imagine we need more active runners before challenge board could be made, seems like a strange requirement imo but nothing much we can do sadly.

So after testing the challenges, some would defintely require a score board e.g most of the hordes challenges some could do RTA so I how I see it is like this, making an extensions/challenge cat board by itself as the challenges play pretty damn differently compared to the speedrun will apply for a extension cat no idea how long it takes to get the request accepted, (this way while the score management will be horrid at least it will also be on the different boards not affecting the main one) which will have the following options for challenges either score or RTA, both options or just score + since it's on the extensions we can do other challenge runs such as OKHO as well.

Hey @Vizofsky will be definitely adding a challenges mode but need to figure how to make it a speedrun e.g all challenges in one go, or having each individual challenge (I'm not aiming to do scores as while I would love to have a score leaderboard sr.com is so bad for scores, so would be timer based only at this moment.)

the reason for the IL's consisting of 99 levels was so testing can be done easier for future runners + making the save game was another side bonus to help runners practice easier, challenges will be on either the mainboards or as a misc cats eventually(maybe 1-2 weeks will get back to you). (tbh IL's are pretty good if you aiming to do only hordes as I marked out which missions the hordes are at)

While I wouldn't mind this, it will led to inconsistent timings as people might unpause 1-2 secs later or start pausing 1-2 secs late (plus under added pressure during the run as well), at that stage you might as well just let the moderators manually time out the loads for all runs, which I wouldn't mind doing or having another pair of hands to help but it would require doing a lot of work.

in my opinion there is another few ways around this, either first making another sub-cat that has the boards divided between SSDs users and HDDs users similar to the PC / Console split seen on other boards but since PC doesn't have an advantage in this game to other consoles that use SSD it would be named as such instead. Got to be honest I never liked seeing the PC/Console or SSD/HDD sub-cats myself as no one cares about the slower sub-cat other than the runners.

the third way I see it is adding another filter with just SSD/HDD (similar to the Difficulty filter) and taking a rough/fixed amount off HDD's players time due to loads to try and line up with SSD players this would be a lot less work as currently there doesn't seem to be many players using a HDD. Let me know what you guys think or if you have any other ideas that might involve the issue with HDD users?

Right so if you wish to run any other categories such as secret ending kensei just submit a run and it will be added as a sub-cat the reason it isn't currently on there is because no one has a run yet, same applies to 100% or all collectibles these aren't on there because it would just be empty space on the boards similar to ronin where it would show empty (hopefully will manage a run of ronin myself to fix that) if you submit a kensei secret ending run or ronin secret ending run the sub-cat will be added same with 100%. But for the less common categories I would recommend asking beforehand and seeing if it will change the gameplay dynamic much if you consider the existing categories e.g stuff like Low% ronin would be a big change compared to anything else on the boards.

Hey @TsoBadGuy I just realised when looking at your name you did the MP3 compilation that was a goldmine of a video loved it a lot, was a great motivator when I used to run MP3

So that speedrun isn't really a WR (essentially clickbait) and isn't using accerate timing as we won't be pausing during cinematic bars or the hideouts just that the load removal will manage the pausing during loads and that's it, I'm assuming how he did it was by manually editing the timer in after actually running, if he did submit that run it would be counted as a 28:01 ish RTA (as he isn't following the timing rules set out therefore will be forced into RTA) current WR is a 21:05.2 RTA by Holo.

As mentioned in a previous thread will post some more information (including a quick tutorial) about the load removal soon before the embargo ends as it requires a bit more messing about than normal load removals due to needing console players to also get their loads removed.

Edit: I didn't realise the video said true ending, so I would be wrong I believe that is WR for wude ng+ at this moment?

@ThePineapple420 As soon as you hit the two buttons to kill yang as is stated clearly in the rules, that type of category is probarly considered NG+, so far until the 2 week embargo (22nd of Feb) is done, nothing else other than the 3 main ones listed will be considered.

The timer starts once you enter a (lvl) and press X / Enter to start, regardless if you manage to not do it correctly, me and Justas will retime the run manually.

lvl = the sqauts level for ng+ or the tutorial for any%

You might have added the autosplitter twice once in your layout and once activated, deleting one or deactivating it should fix it.
