Hi everyone, do y'all know if there's a way to add a speedrun timer to a video made with the Elgato game capture HD Software?
No, you'll need another Software like OBS or XSplit, that can add other stuff while recording.
@Garadas, as long as the game is still in your pending actions, stay patient. Kirkq will look at it and most likely verfiy it as soon as he gets to it.
Heya, it's not that complex!
press "Games" on the top bar, then "All Games"
on the new page, press "Request a Game"

yeah but he went out to spam these insults onto their social media, etc. which is def. not okay to do. idc if someone doesn't like some of the admins, but just outright insulting them is a reason to be banned, imo.
anyway, let's not go too far off-topic^^
Here's another urban legend: People will check that they're on https & clear their cache and cookies before asking on the discord why they can't login.
afaik he did run the games he submitted, but he did add a metric shitton of games. (no one else ran the games he submitted, tho)
also add that he insulted our beloved admins.
tbh I'd have rejected it as well - simple as it gets: it's 100% cheating. you modified a file outside of the means of the game. If I'd try to submit a run of random rpg with long grind session here and just set my level to max w/ a save editor it'd be rejected as well.

always glad to help (although my answers shouldn't have the same weight as other people's, as I'm shiiiiit)

none, I always attempt to be world record, always attempt to beat my own record. If there is something really tricky, I might consider trying a few times, but no more than 5 times.
-
I guess Monster Hunter (if it needs to be more specific: Monster Hunter Generations or currently Monster Hunter Double Cross), as there's a lot of randomnes involved, so I don't just get better at doing a certain button sequence, but also in reacting towards certain scenarios. Also the active japanese competition.

I try to attempt as often as possible, but my work tends to get in the way and thus I usually do 1 or 2 attempts per week. I'm probably at the lower end of the spectrum.

well, favicons are still used on profiles' "moderator of" list. so setting one still has a purpose.
well, the games Portal requested for deletion had runs by him/her. /shrug
btw. like literally a minute before the deletion of these 2:
I actually have no clue about this category since iirc NinjasInCarpets created this one (and the linked list is no longer available, but I state that in the category rules as well, so /shrug)
BUT if you don't have a capture unit in ur 3ds, you could check http://3ds.guide/ and look if your 3ds is hackable. there's a nifty little thing called NTR for hacked 3ds' that allows to stream video to a pc. (new 3ds only tho)
otherwise like some of the japanese runners on the any% category you can strap a camera onto your 3ds and just record that way.
these 2 options might not look as clean as a capture unit would but they are fine in terms of validating your run.
(sent from mobile so r.i.p. formatting)

2 ILs for the Shield Surf Courses would be great tbh. the game times it so only IGT is needed for these 2 :D
I'd love it if there were dungeon specific runs, i.e. just get paraglider -> 1 dungeon and finish. that would get some interesting routing for sure, since for the desert one you need to get 500 rupees to get into the gerudo town.
It'd be best set up as a category + 4 subcategories. Dungeon 1 | 2 | 3 | 4
and tbh I'd run tf out of the desert one, that one was so fckn fun.
first off, you seem to think DS & 3DS are interchangeable. DS & 3DS are 2 different devices. based on this I'll assume you only have a 3ds.
But when you want to record your DS with a camera, does both screens have to be on screen to have a legal run?
the legality of the run depends heavily on the community of the game you're trying to run, it's usually not necessary. personally, I'd include the 2nd screen as well, since there are plugins w/ cfw that can show internal data on the 2nd screen. (see Monster Hunter Gen HP Bar plugin for NTR)
I do have a New 3DS I can download homebrew on to capture it
installing cfw for capture is currently only possible up to firmware 11.2 (see 3ds.guide or r/3dshacks for more info) yes, it's worth it (there's no risk other than not following the guide)
Any other tips are welcome how to capture my DS without buying a capture card!
I've seen many runs by japanese guys just having a camera + something to fixate it. it's not the best quality, yes, but it's enough to verifiy. A capture unit or NTR Streaming would be better, obviously, but the former costs a shitton of money and the latter requires cfw and a good router.
Yo!
So, currently, when setting up ILs and you need a new IL at the very top, you'd have to create a new IL at the very bottom and then move it up 1 at a time, which is slow, especially when you have a lot of ILs.
here's what I have in mind:
A new button that would allow us to create a new IL above. this would especially help for games that have a ton of ILs (Like Monster Hunter)
thx for reading I guess?
seems like someone messed up the release date ^^
it's set to 7th march 2017 - which is obviously not in the past
I know that for ps2 games it's an emulator, not sure on ps1 games tho.
