Hi! Sorry it's taken so long to respond to this! Thank you for the intel about publishing the theory! I based the categories on a guide I found (not the one on Steam but one that I now can't seem to find :/) I think for the purposes of the speedrun, we should define the "best" ending as meeting the following goals:
- Rescue the child
- Defeat Keziah
- Stop the ritual
If publishing the theory has no bearing on the ending then I don't think it matters for Best%, but we may want to have a 100% where it is also included in the requirements? I've not been well enough to do any test runs so I'll defer to your experience on this one :)
Thanks! And thanks for the note on the retime, I guess I overaccounted for stopping the timer too early. Yeah, I'd not realised my alert bar was in such an awkward position for these runs. Won't be an issue for future runs, sorry about that :)
Updated your RTA to reflect the start and end points the rest of us use. Timer doesn't start until you first gain control of Narita Boy and ends when you exit the last memory. The rules really need updating so that's clear, I'll get that sorted later :) An absolutely fantastic run! Very smooth! Great job :)
Verified by the game devs using IGT
Thanks! I hadn't realised that was a thing until Jumpsuit mentioned it, but I'm definitely going to give it a go next time! :)
No worries! Thank you for reviewing it and for the comment about the split timings ^-^
Hi, I submitted my run 2 weeks ago and it's still not been verified/rejected. Someone else's run from 3 days ago has been verified and appears on the board, so I'm wondering if something's gone wrong with my submission. It's the first run I've ever submitted so I don't know if I've done something wrong.
