There is no easy way to fork on windows, without rewriting whole programm. But maybe some linux users may use they magic to check game logic on the moment of creating level and bake it into some docker/another container for shared use.
If players find a way to better know or predict generation rolls they may even fork or copy whole game process (at least in linux system) to reproduce game random as easy as well. And resume playing with 0.00 on timer on any comparable machine. *sorry, idk about current timer start rules and cathegories
Lets see it as a preparation phase for the run just to reduce ridiculous preparation time to remake needed starting artifacts or other staff. It just normalization.
I see.
It's very strange koz seems to be levels have no diffrences in between them. Maybe some obstacles changes hardcoded in levels itself and just implemented in estonian version.
(also i am still not sure does data compressed in it or not but there is a lot of garbage repeated symbols and even empty lines in that: i was looking at SphinxDesert.LEVEL)
Can you check md5 summ of exe to see does it have any diffrences from the others?
Previous one was 332 kb (339 968 bytes). MD5 / 254C9E752E932810DA6A69EA2CBDD95B SHA-1 / A4703B988775D140C55824386BD541BB3C3815DD SHA-256 / B504D7CEA5B218F0A3E9A7569310BD6181B475838EDE8DB45E988F0C12416F21
Steam: 332,0 kb (339 968) MD5: 815fac9b860ae33a3c7bb7ea5f2a46e6 SHA-1: d183364e487cb950e85ad905a8fe98f19cc0371a SHA-256: a4f9c39b6f3a2d729bce0b371139c8059464d7fb9cd356a209edf018d78968a8
Or maybe its something in FishCore.dll
In other version the difference in levels is amount of eggs you need to collect.
And what is est name of the game? Does it have any articles/additional information about the release?
Idk why but i did know about that version years ago while setting up the option of game version for leaderboard.
That's pretty interesting koz give opportunity to understand how game objects store in those LEVEL/aim files. And how normal difficulty is different? Does those objects currently stored out of main rout works/falls somehow else? Can you share those files in a resources section and those splits as well (if only it other of various program for splits and live keys was used)? Currently i can not run game on my machines koz of linux'es on it (game freezes first frame after start and only puffs of smoke from beneath the birds' feet is visible), but looking a way to report a game for proton support.
Yes, seems to be most levels from Pirates Island lack of they difficulty in terms of no obstacles or enemies with it. Would be interesting to have a look at world files to check diffrencence between versions or somehow figure out what cause those weird placements in Oasis or Montain for example (however i doesn\t sure does it would take us anywhere). River City: 3:39.48 Vale Suund Pirates Island: 3:26.01 //no throwing enemies Treasure Island: 2:49.63//no most crabs Sphinx Desert: 3:25.19 //no terrain obst Oasis Desert: 2:31.42 // wrong collisuons placement 35:45 Canyon: 3:39.59 //36:35 just bridge? no sneks and sticks Mountain Alley: 4:17.90//wrong "weights" placement Dark Caves: 2:27.61 Snow World: 3:16.43 75 49:45 rickroll Iceland: 2:03.29 51:30 pass all lake
However, run still seems very polished, egg collect goes to be minimum and most time player try to find a way to short distance rather than playing by game rules.
#question in topic/ thoughts next and sorry for english) Recently verified this run and now we here (since doesnt found similar thread) https://www.speedrun.com/Alien_Shooter/run/mre9w14y
bilibili is Chinese video sharing website (aka youtube) with such feature as 'Bullet (barrage) comments' https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bilibili#Features in case of run verification: they can be disabled by switch on the left down ("under" player, highlighted in blue when active) - its player (called DashPlayer) reminds youtube player by 'videostats'
there is also nicovideo.jp and others you can find https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_video_hosting_services
Some of those sites quite popular and can be used and uses for speedruns and other stuff. In other words, some Japanese and Chinese (and other) runners use them for own vids but there is no embedded for them yet.
Is there a chance that their support will come later or not? how difficult or priority is it? - Discord supports niconico but not bilibili right now
https://www.speedrun.com/Takamachi_Phate/allposts https://www.speedrun.com/sekiro https://www.speedrun.com/goiwbf/run/y812751z - also these game in same genre, isnt it?) https://www.speedrun.com/Sexy_Hiking/full_game#Any -- nico https://www.speedrun.com/fe5/thread/y0v26/1#re37h https://www.speedrun.com/ac2_aa/run/0znre4ly https://www.speedrun.com/jeffsledge/allposts/0
sure why not) /done 100% (or eggs%) in my opinion can exist too, but requires good routing, which is not yet) right now I made 'difficulty' as subcategory (since collecting eggs require some time)
