Everything you just said is why I think they are good speedgames, in addition to the fact that VNs are visually pleasing and usually have good music. Those things fit my personal definition of a good speedgame.
"Good speedgame" is subjective. I'm of the opinion that standard VNs that are entirely choice-based and have no other gameplay elements constitute as "good speedgames", but the site owners do not, so no explanation is going to change that.
I plan to still try and submit the game every time I run a VN, but they are currently still being stubborn about it. I'd imagine that it would take someone with a more open perspective on the genre becoming in charge in order for these to ever get accepted.
Alternately, a separate website specifically for VN speedruns could be made.
What is it going to take for visual novel runs to be accepted on this site? Like is there anything at all I or anyone else can do to help make it happen?
Hello, I'm a casual Slay the Spire player who is checking out the speedruns of this game for the first time. I noticed that no one runs the game on the Switch, and I was wondering if the glitches used in any% runs are even possible on the Switch.
If you go to the Stadium 2 page and click the Discord logo, it will give you an invite to our Stadium-specific server (we don't use the server that it directed to from the Stadium 1 page anymore). I let people in our server know about your post so they should be around to help you shortly.

There are no rules posted for either category. Please post the rules, so that I, or any other potential speedrunner of this game, will know what they are. Cheers
I don't care about having a slow time; I just wanna play. Thank you for removing the requirement.
This game is hard and I can't get first place in any of the races, so this is a formal request to either remove the first place requirement from the Grand Prix category, or make another category where first place is not required.
To anyone else who may come across this thread in the future, the answer is yes, they are legal.
I love how no one ever responded to this. I'm also looking for the answer to this question.
No, video proof is not mandatory. You can just say that you got the world record, and we will all believe you.
Good luck. I've wanted one for like two years myself.
Taking his runs off the leaderboard is stupid, especially if he has WRs in any categories. Can they be put back?
Still waiting for an answer to my question...
I'm curious as to what this ban entails. Did you remove his runs from the leaderboards? Is he just banned from the Discord server?
If I were to accidentally go to a special mission in a Normal Missions run, would that invalidate the run for that category?
