Hello folks. Today I'm stepping down from my position as Super Mod. There are two main reasons for this. One is because I no longer like Pixel Gun 3D whatsoever, as you can see I have not verified a single run in a long time. The other reason is that I'm leaving for several months for BCT in the military. So today, I come to present to you our new Super Mod, Skullz!
Ah sorry about that, I didn't get the notification for this category addition. I'll consider it in the future, but I feel like it doesn't belong in a speedrun leaderboard without additional communuity support.
With the 4th campaign world finally added after a ridiculously long time, all full-game runs are now obsolete and put into a separate category.
Yes, there are some differences between iOS and Web. For one, there is no such thing as a Hyper Mode. There are also multiple small and big differences between the two. On the web version, it takes ten deaths by hunger/thirst to get their perks. This actually changes the game massively on iOS, because it only takes five deaths by hunger/thirst. When trying to get on "a dusty path", on iOS you only need a compass before embarking. On Web you need a cured meat before embarking. Looking on the wiki, for some things like enemies, there is two different tabs, one for browser version and iOS, showing that both have different enemy lists (with similarities and differences). So yeah, it's considered very different compared to PC. For rules, well, I guess they have to be slightly shanged compared to PC.
Could a person also be allowed to submit a run from iOS? I don't believe there is a difference between the two, but I'll need to eyeball everything a bit more. Maybe a separate category for iOS (it doesn't have hyper mode if I recall) if there is a difference that impacts regular gameplay?
If you are speedrunning the entire campaign, be wary of music copyright. The only level you need to worry about is in Block World, the second world. The music in the Village level is copyright claimed, and will demonetize your video and may put up ads, if you haven't put them down before. So, you can mute the music in the Village level, or leave it in if you don't care about money from the video or forced ads for viewers. This will NOT put copyright strikes on you if you upload it.
Welcome to Pixel Gun 3D! If you're here, it's likely you already know about this game and have already familiarized yourself with the game. Want to submit a speedrun? Great! You can speedrun a category we have here, and submit a video of the speedrun to that category. If the run sent in has obliged to all of the rules for that category, it will be verified. Work hard, and have fun speedrunning!
