I was hoping I'd be able to go through and re-time existing runs to save everyone from having to trash and re-do their runs, but that, unfortunately, will not work. Most of the videos just start with the loading screen, not with selecting the level. So that's not possible to re-time. Looks like we'll have to wipe the board, guys :(
I have experience with discord. So if you'd like me to mess with the settings or anything, just say the word!
Also, the invite link is expired. Could I get a new one?
Yay! Let's get these full game runs going, and grow this community! I lost hope for a while and didn't practice this run, but I was working on it for a while, and found a few glitches/exploits that will really help the speedrun! If anyone has any questions before runs start going up, hit me up!
Ricky horror - ...yes, I'm aware there isn't a category besides IL... that's kind of why I requested one. If there was one already, I wouldn't have had to request it, right?
Like many games that keep track if IL times with an in-game timer, runners could use LiveSplit, w-Split, etc, to keep track of their time, and for consistency especially sake, in-game time could be recorded by the sum of the in game timers shown. Like in Banjo-Kazooie, runs would be times by the splits, but the in game times are shown in a seperate column, just to get a just of who's faster in game, who's faster with menuing, what strats out of level are more efficient, etc.
I've been messing around with the All Secrets run for a while (Haven't submitted anything yet thought), but I seriously think it should be done from a clean game file. If it's a more serious run, and not one of the misc. categories, I feel like it would be a more legit/complete run if it was from a new game file.
There's an Any% run and a NG+ run, so if people want to do an All Sectrets NG+ run, there should at least be a category for All Secrets (without NG+), for those who want to take the run more seriously.
You think? There are quite a few games with bonus content like that, and 100% runs that are just the main story and all collectables. I feel like a run like that would also be more engaging with the "walking through walls" aspect of getting the secrets, while still being a full beginning-to-end run that would appeal to a larger crowd if submitting the game to future marathons/events. I'm a bit surprised that the current All Secrets run doesn't require an empty save
Is this run done without wiping saves first? So, is there no true 100% category for Superhot, where you enter a new game, complete and find all secrets? Sorry if I'm just missing something!
Could we get a category added that's the full game to the end credits? (Levels 1-12)? I'd like to submit a run.
