I bought the controller in hopes of using it on both switch and pc. The thing that immediately seemed off was how stiff the d-pad was. I think that the battery inside the controller pushes the pcb into the faceplate of the controller and that's what causes it. I was able to fix it a little by just loosening some of the screws in the back, but it still doesn't press as easily as I would like.
