The addition of new categories really depends on interest in speedrunning. If many people speedrun all achievements, and there is enough interest for a category, we can create a category for it. However, completing all achievements requires 5 package, so until we have enough interest in 5 package, we probably won't have much interest in all achievements.
The main factors for creating a category would be:
- Uniqueness
- How many people are interested in it
Joining the discord and seeing if there is more interest would satisfy the 2nd point. When it comes to uniqueness, the question becomes how different is it from the other categories out there (package% specifically). An example would be that people have done a Coal Power%, but that is really similar to package% (do package% and then submit Coal Power).
It does bring up the question: Can we add a hub% category and allow skip intro in package%? That would make the 2 categories very unique to each other, and we can finally figure out why skip intro isn't allowed in package% :P
Are you saying that we can use 1 iron, 1 copper, and 1 limestone at the same time, or are you saying that if you want iron, you have to pick up your portable miners from the limestone node?
If it's the first one, doesn't Package% already do that?
Ah - if you are referring to 2 / 3 / 4 package, that makes sense then - would be painful.
I'm trying to understand the moving the camera and overriding the previous save logic. I understand that it is meant to prevent someone from reloading a save (and having a do-over).
While I do think that may help, if it truly allows for verifying that someone does not cheat. A question / issue with it: What happens if someone saves for Segment 1, and then between Segment 1 and 2, they make a copy of the world. Is there a way to see that they made a copy of the save / verify that they did not just make a save, attempted once, and then reverted back to the backup save again?
