LittleBigPlanet 2 is a puzzle-platform game that features user-generated content. The game is developed by Media Molecule, published by Sony Computer Entertainment for the PlayStation 3. It was released in January 2011. The game was released in North America on 18 January 2011, in mainland Europe on 19 January 2011, in Australia and New Zealand on 20 January 2011 and the UK and Ireland on 21 January 2011.

Honestly the community is so small that the game rules are still basically TBC. I guess it would come down to whether changing the FPS gives an advantage. I'd say just do whatever you like for now and submit whatever, and maybe if this game becomes more competitive, then we'd sort out some stricter rules.

@HoonGoons Spam for real?? On PS3 if you try to press it too early you car breaks down, which means you can't spam it. Also I don't know about vita, but on PS3 you can press the home button while you wait for the countdown to finish, and the game will pause on the first frame after the countdown has finished. You can then resume the game and get a frame perfect boost.

lmao only just saw this somehow. Yup no stress! I think the current categories are great now. It's possible to do glitchy time trials, so maybe in the future we could add glitchey time trials as a category for IL runs, but in the mean time, seeing as no one is running them, there's not much point (unless we get more players)

Now that we've discovered a bunch of shortcuts, we'll need to discuss which ones are banned in the "no lap skip" category. Check out these 2 videos: both speedrun strats for the track "Breakwater". My strategy completes 3 laps, but cuts out most of track. Fanjo's strategy straight up skips the laps by crashing into the same wall 3 times. Should we ban both, or just Fanjo's?

Alternatively we change the category to "no skips" and ignore this conversation lol

Actually if you're keen, hmu on discord, I've been chasing some leads on what I think should lead to some big glitches, but I don't have time to work on it. If you've got time, maybe you could be the one to crack this game open

I'm super keen to submit some stuff but life gets busy ya know If you look at the glitches thread I started, it's super cool to see how much potential there is I'll smash something out in a few months once my course is over

When I find the time I'll whip up an any% and 100% run using some of the weird techniques (the flying glitch in particular already has HEAPS of applications in 100%) but it might not come about for a few months
