Well the thing is its only really worth it to play on n64 if you're using 1.0. This is because of a 1.0 exclusive trick in bottom of the well. If all you have is 1.2 then you'll have to just use the vc route on n64

Simply put, the cutscene you watched before doing a wrong warp can affect if it will work or not.

Doing deku wrong warp after watching the title screen cutscene (done after savewarping) will not work for ganondoor. The intro cutscene to the deku tree works. So to keep that as your last cutscene you need to either die or do gohma clip.

However, it is possible to do the wrong warp after save warping. Although it is very slow. On versions 1.0 and 1.2 you need to go to links house and just pause your game and then unpause it, and then go back to deku to do the wrong warp. On 1.1 you need to pause in the twins house.

Ideally you'll want to lean how to do gohma clip or double ko, as they are much faster than pausing in the house.

In some situations it could be faster on emu, so we have to just generally ban it. Making specific exceptions is just messy and doesn't make sense. They can have just as much fun, even if they don't submit their times.

And regarding gim its possible to do deku nut gim on n64/emu no rice if you use a magic bean to change the model that appears after you jump in the water. Slow of course, but possible.

Na it just makes you look like a lying shitter who is doing nothing but wasting all of our time. We know how to do our job, thanks for trying though.

And my reason for posting that was to say that no one should be taking their time to give a reasonable, knowledgeable response to someone who would go as low as to lie about a time. Not just to laugh at you. Although it is pretty funny.

Yes those runs were on here, but they were removed. They should not have been verified in the first place. The rule that emu runs need to use default settings has always been there, but it wasn't enforced properly. We had a discussion in the oot discord and it was agreed that GIM on emu is not allowed, even though it is slower for the category.

That doesn't keep anyone from doing runs, they just can't submit their times.

Yea this is really neat, definitely isn't documented anywhere. But in your case with the dot skip setup I would recommend sticking to slightly down left. As it is faster and not that difficult

How's the backflip statement not true? lol

Its not as complicated as you make it seem. Siderolls are consistent in this game which is why so many setups use them.

ess straight down will always change depending on if you are more left or right. You can make sure you go the direction you want by holding more toward the direction you want to go, is all I was saying. It wont change your angle at all, it will just enforce the direction.

New York, USAFig028 years ago

If you do a sidehop right, he will sideroll right If you do a sidehop left, he will sideroll left If you do a backflip, he will sideroll right but the angle is different from a sidehop You can influence a sideroll if you do it standing still by hold slightly down left/right depending on which way you want to go. In the case of the dot skip pillar setup, you need to hold slightly down left as you do your sideroll. You can think of it as ess for how far to hold.

not just "pretty much", literally all glitches are the same between jp and u. its the exact same copy of the game but one byte difference to change the language

Submit to both, at least for now. A poll was taken a little while ago regarding where people want the leaderboards to be, and the majority said to exclusively use speedrun.com. But further action toward that won't be taken until all missing times from ZSR are ported here. Which is what Alaris is saying he is working on. As am I.

Late to the conversation here, but it's banned on emu because it requires a different graphics plug in for it to not crash. So you have to modify the default settings for it to work. Its like hardware modification except it's software.

do you still need an invite?

New York, USAFig028 years ago

you need to go to selec channel. the first option tried to lad the game in your disc slot. if you dont have a channel option then you have to patch a certain ios version. i dont remember what it is tho

New York, USAFig028 years ago

I was going to work on updating ZSR times here to speedrun.com, but i got caught up working on something else. I'll get to it tho. Fully migrating the leaderboards here would be up to the community. I think it should, but yea
