PS: looks like it is possible to retime even new runs (but it will be hard).
step 1: run strats as normal, but you skip last frame until death (because this frame will be replaced with map picking frame). (usally you will get 1 sec segment or more)
step 2: next segment starts from map picking frame and ends at 1 frame until death
step 3: repeat retiming method from step 2 on every round until 9
step 4: last round will start at map picking frame and will end as always (because you dont need to pick a map)
at the end you will get a lot of small segments, and when you combine them all you get final time
for example, my "40 700" run is 933+4200+4233+4267+4133+4200+4200+4433+4200+4267ms, and it gives you 38 sec 766 ms when you combine them all.
maybe this works with other categories too, but im not sure*
why? Lets look on 9 month old runs (Vkpixel, me, dontreadmyname0804)
lets look at frames. frame 1
as you can see, stickman is still alive and spikes didnt hit him.
As you can see, stickman hit spikes and died on 1 frame. Important thing is that you can choose map for next round on this frame. If you dont trust me, check VKpixel and dontreadmyname runs too.
Now lets check new runs made on new versions (my 40 700 run, painpierce, toppin, gremost)
most important in this runs is this
as you can see, on Toppin`s run stickman hit the spikes, but he cant pick map on the same frame. Thats why 39 433 is unbeatable (or very hard) for new versions. That cooldown for next round takes around 1 second (idk how much exactly) thats why i think mods should add legacy and latest categories.
