I understand that you would want better categories for Minecraft Classic considering it's a very well speedran game. But a few reasons why what you have said clearly has no evidence to support the claims you have made.

1.Your first forum post for attacking a super mod because of a simple mistake of a self-validated run(people make mistakes, I've made plenty for this game) still has no valid reason for going after the mod because of how he did the "run" and all of that.

2.This game was made more than 10 years ago. And for a web game, it still holds up as one of the all-time classics, and a wide selection of the speedrunners for the game are doing their first speedrun because of how familiar the game is to them and others around them. And also considering that it was a web game(and not bedrock or Java edition), you wouldn't expect a lot of amazing category ideas.

3.In this new forum post, you're not making a clear point. And also you saying that you have no interest in running the game and are complaining about the abundance of categories is just taking it a step in the wrong direction. And saying that the categories are redundant only because there's not enough creativity literally makes no sense. At all.

4.Like what Insert and Smedgies have said earlier, this game was made over 10 years ago and it's a web game. And, with the modding part of this situation, I honestly still don't get what point you're trying to prove here. Self-validating is allowed and even if you don't agree with it, you cannot just attack the moderators for making a simple mistake. If you just don't agree with why the categories and ideas for the game on SRC, that can just be your opinion and no one will try to come off as rude to you. But once again, if you try to come off rude to us, it clearly serves no purpose and drama about a simple mistake and also complaining about a 10 year old game with not enough 'good' categories, just please take your buisness elsewhere.

And 5. A lot of people do care for this game. People have spent countless hours on different categories to try and get a PB. That's what speedrunning is all about. Trying to work your hardest towards a goal of a minute/second barrier, a world record, and/or maybe just a time on the leaderboards.

So all we just ask you to respect the Minecraft Classic Speedrun Community as we continue to strive for greatness.

I don't consider it as much of a problem right now considering that Yes, they are only 2 categories with the % in the name. Once we find good enough names for the categories, we will most likely change the names of the categories, and we'll get back to this thread.

I do like this idea, but the chances of the mods adding it are a little slim, but I do 100% like the idea.

Our mod team has decided to change the categories for 25 and 50 holes. There will now be categories where Skips are allowed(but only can be used for a few holes), and categories where Skips will not be allowed at all for the entire run. For any runs that disappear on the leaderboard, feel free to re-submit them.

Sounds like a good idea. But no way we’re doing that for 100 holes on switch. Everything else will work.

I’d be more flexible on the skips, so for now I’d say: 5 for 25 holes 10 for 50 holes 15 for 100 holes Will most likely change these in the future.

You have a good point there. I understand that skipping is stupid and shouldn’t be allowed, but the thing is, if you didn’t skip on a hole in a 25 hole run, you’d have to start all over again. So I think we should limit the amount of holes you can skip in big categories. We’ll talk that over later today.

As you all know, you are able to skip holes in this game, and if you don't, your run basically is dead. We don't know whether to have a limit of skips, have no skips, or have all skips allowed in a run. We will decide in an update forum post later this week.

@Sphere_Cube Any setting is allowed for golf in an all sports run, same goes with cycling. So yes, you can use telekinesis in golf and no heart loss in cycling for your all sports run.

If you are able to complete the run Odd, the mods will consider adding the category.

@triple-T some ILs are now on the leaderboard. We aren't considering adding any other ones as those are score based, not time based.

Timing will now start when you click the first event. Btw I did re-time your runs to fulfill this new timing method. So from now on, timing will start when you select your first event. Feel free to do the events in any order as well. I hope that answers your question.

We've decided to change the timing based on what you stated in the first post. So yes, timing will now end for you and other runs when you score the last point in Table Tennis and the final point shows up on screen.

Note:your run was re-timed with this new timing. However, for Max% the timing will stay the same.

I'll talk with Reyn about this ruling since this game isn't being mainly focused on at the moment. We'll take a look into this sometime in the next few days. Note that we will only change the timing if all mods agree it's the new timing, therefore changing your Max% time. If not, timing will stay the same.

I'll have to talk with Reyn if we want to consider ILs for the leaderboard. But as of right now, there will be no level leaderboards.

I did just realize that the first and second place are different versions but are the same game, which is weird. But everything related to the run is just normal as the other runs. Nothing else to claim here besides questions about that one statement. And like monkeh_ said, you can't splice a Twitch VOD.
