How does it work, do you put the files on to ur sd card (yes i have a m0dded switch) and make each kingdom its own mod on SMM

could someone help me with downloading the smoo mod i tried following the tutorial on the website but it didn't work, i would really appreciate if someone could help and give me an in depth tutorial (like step by step basically)

hopefully nintendo doesn't patch like every single glitch on smo for switch 2 that would really suck, it would take away the purpose of the faster loading times :|
