Oh god. Props for doing such a lengthy run. I doubt anybody else will take 6 hours out of their day for this, considering how repetitive it might get with some animatronics being less impactful. Props for that, though.
With the new Xen levels, I am actually eager to give speedrunning Nihilanth a try
Yeah, I feel you guys. I'm not one to go through all of that either. I'd just thought it make a bit more sense.
I'll try OBS. If not, then forget it. I'm not so much a competitive speedrunner trying to win everything, I just do it for the heck of it. I'll be back with my results.
I figured you wouldn't accept it anyway, it's HORRIBLE.
So I've always been trying to record the Pre-Alpha and Alpha 1, but for some reason all the recording softwares I have will either have very poor, block-glitchy quality, or just not record at all.
I've recorded a video of me just playing through it normally, learning the route and making sure it's reliable. Windows Game Recorder is the only one that will work, and at this point I'd rather not download any more softwares. Would any of you moderators accept something like this? (most likely not)
All right, people. Can a moderator just lock all the forums for good? It appears this flame war will never stop, and the toxic people here don't know anything about actually TRYING to do a legit run, rather run a bunch of consequences for faking a run, and then get pissed over something as stupid as that. Like I said, I'm tired of all these notifications and this consistent flame war. Like I said, I hate to be that kind of person, but moderators, please stop it now and if you can, lock the forums here for good.
Would somebody just lock the damn thread for good already? I don't mean to be like this but these notifications of the same thing are getting on my nerves, and most likely everybody's. I'm about to stop getting involved with ANY community here. Steam, Speedrun, etc. There are people like this everywhere I go.
No, it IS noticeably faster, I don't really think you need to experiment. Just walk for a period of time, and then hold down Left Shift or whatever the key you assigned it to run, and you'll see quite a difference. It would be quite pointless if running was the same speed, anyway.
All right, but I've already did the speedrun, just failed 2 times. Gotta get it uploaded, though.
Emil once tried to fix the bypass night glitch, where a jumpscare may occur and the night continues. It's still in the game, and I've come across it trying to beat 7/20 Normal Mode. I have not been able to beat it, but I have beaten 7/20 Nightmare Mode, which is easier for obvious reasons.
Would a run be valid if the bypass night glitch occurred and I let it pass, since the timer is dependent on being able to beat the night and click on the next night fast enough?
If not, then I can at least do the 2-star.
EDIT: If you don't know what it is, here's an example:
I'm going back to this series after almost a year, and I'm determined to do the level leaderboard Custom Night. I can complete all 10 presets on Very Hard no problem, except for Golden Freddy.
The question is, you get the Purple Guy cutscenes for completing the presets on Very Hard, eating up a lot of time, but I don't want to go to Hard or anything. And I am deleting my custom night saves in the save file so I haven't completed any of them prior to the speedrun. Suggestions? There's no way to skip the cutscene, though. Mashed my keyboard, but it continued.
