Solid first run! For next time, please review the rules on starting/stopping the timer. Timing starts, as soon as you click the "login" button. (Livesplit also supports Hotkeys for starting/stopping the timer, this might be helpful)
Just in case someone gets a bunch of confusing Emails, I just moved the Level Leaderboard to a regular Any% Leaderboard.
I believe the Original expecatation was for the developer to release multiple "Levels" but this never happened.
Also congrats on the new Worldrecord LittlePappy!
Thank you! It should have Audio (It does for me at least), but it is very quiet due to my sound settings. Not sure if I could fix that on my part.
There was some discussion regarding strats and glitches when the game released in the speedrun channel of Grimbart Tales' Discord https://discord.gg/pymjSru
Here we go, I have been waiting for someone to do this. I do have a PB of 2:34 or something way back from when the game released. This was using the launch patch though, which had infinite wall jumps (similiar to neutral jumps in celeste) and the ability to just not get the echoes for the first and third boss (daliah and quetzalcoatl). But since back then noone else was interested in running this I just didn't bother. So this immediatly poses the questions what to do about downpatching (specifically because this is a PC exclusive option)
Just to prevent confusion: I'd vote to ban this glitch, not allow it.
This does require runners to restart the game between runs, but I'd argue that allowing this would lead to a weird situation, where you'd have to play through the game once everytime you restart, just to start an actual run.
At least on the PC Version, if you start a new run after finishing the game, all spiderwebs will already be removed. You still need bow for the buttons in the forest, but you save time by not waiting for the webs to burn. Also you can get Dash before bow, which probably saves a few seconds as well.
Since this requires finishing the game beforehand, this should probably not be allowed.
Opinions?
