Absolutely! There is no emphasis on game music, just as long as the engine and background noises are on. Voices are also not needed.
Hello there!
Firstly, just a quick introduction as I have been added to the mod team for this game. I'm Domirae, speedrunner of mostly racing games as well as a moderator and data archivist in multiple communities. The super mod for the demo release of VHR will not be able to be as active moving forward, so I will be handling most major updates to the leaderboard.
Getting right into the immediate changes. The title of the game has been updated from "Victory Heat Rally (Demo)" to "Victory Heat Rally" to refrain from creating multiple leaderboards for a small game. With this change, all old Demo runs have been relegated to the website linked above. The runs are still archived but are no longer viewable on the SRC page. Thank you to everyone who submitted a run for the demo, I hope we continue to see runs with the full release available. Also with this change, I will be adding every IL in the game, as well as a driver variable, and multiple other categories that may be interesting to run in the future. If you have any specific requests, feel free to reach out to me.
Plans for the future include updated rules and improving the overall layout and appearance of the page. Things will take time to get moving, so I hope you all will bear with me during this initial setup phase.
So with that, good racing everyone, I look forward to seeing where this game goes!

Hi, just picked up moderator responsibilities. Currently awaiting SRC to approve a name change for the game, so everything will be updated to accommodate the full release right on this same page soon! I'll post updates periodically.
Is there an IL leaderboard anywhere, or is there a way to add one to src? Would love to see the individual races optimized to some degree
Just curious what the reason for the emulator ban is? As someone without a playstation of any generation, it becomes impossible to submit times for the game as is.
We don't have a direct section of code to explain the 2 player mode slingshotting, but after testing it has been proven that while being in second place in 2 player mode, that player will travel significantly faster than is possible otherwise and have the maximum traction stat. This does not apply to AI or tournament mode, just to the 2 players relative to one another. The game is essentially giving you constant speed and traction until you get within a certain distance of the first player. Your run, along with a couple other runs abusing this, can be found here: https://www.speedrun.com/swe1rextras/level/The_Boonta_Training_Course?h=2_Player_1_Lap-Upgrades&x=l_xd0p1vjw-7kj7y6nk-dlo7zye8.p12pzxdq
