Using Livesplit set up as shown in the guide worked well for a while but out of nowhere started acting weird: stops updating the in-game timer when splitting, on pausing the game (esc) it does update it, however I can not split in my runs like this, I would appreciate any help solving this issue.

Example: upon pressing "split" the timer stays in thee last updated value, even if it was minutes earlier, although upon pressing "esc" it does update
