When I said a gaming Elite I precissely meant The-Elite (Perfect Dark and GoldenEye 007). Cool that you know them. I also think that the ILs should be ranked by IGT, but that's not my decission.
The problem though is that with the current rules the loading screen counts as real time as well, and I don't record it in my videos! There are personal records that I can easily repeat or beat, but some others were hell and took me hours of grinding. I need to know if it would be acceptable to post the ILs without the loading screen and simply add that extra time for the real time thing, it would be a pity if it weren't.
And yes, lol, 23 seconds is insane. In the videos here it's like double as fast! That has to be something about the updates of the game. As far as I know my game has never been updated.
Hi everyone, I'm new in these forums, although I've been following it for some time now.
I started playing this game many years ago, and since the very beginning, I was highly interested in speedrunning it. However, due to several circunstances, I've been very on and off in it. I might post my times when I consider them all good enough.
However, I have a question regarding the submission rules. I come from a gaming Elite where only the in-game time of the missions matters in their games, and here, apparently, the real time is what matters for the ILs. Whether that makes sense to me or not is completely irrelevant, but I have a question:
When I record my ILs, my videos start with the beginning cinema. I don't record the loading screen for several reasons, first because they are long and boring, second because I play for the in-game times (hence the loading is irrelevant), and third because when I fail or abort a mission, I hit restart (when you hit restart you get a ~4-seconds loading screen, instead of going back to the menu, selecting again the difficulty, the mission, and watching that super long loading screen, lol... I play some levels hundreds and hundreds of times maybe seeking good execution, I can't do it the long way!).
My question is if it is acceptable here to post a video without the loading screen and write a comment with a link to a separate video where I show that it lasts for whatever amount of seconds, and simply time both things together for the real time. For example in Laboratory Rescue it's consistently 23 seconds of loading (huge!), it seems, for me, I haven't checked the other levels.
Thanks in advance, DD.
Let me know if you didn't understand my question, I can try to re-word it. English is not my first language.
