New South Wales, Australiai dont know if its the same problem but you could try this. in the diablo run window theres a checkbox "Enable Livesplit Client". once i hit start server in Livesplit, with diablo.run app open i have to uncheck and recheck that box before it registers the game. when its working there will be a small window of the game in the corner. If its a livesplit problem someone more in tune will have to help, Good luck :)
Hi mate. Are you using the diablo.run client? In the guide section theres a guide for "USE DIABLO.RUN TO TRACK TIME AND SHOW GEAR"
Im using this and mine auto splits at character creation, but not at other splits (Andy, Duriel etc)

Hi Snuky, thats a good point but the problem is, the game and community is so small having even more empty categories seems a bit overkill in my opinion. If the deliverator pushing vagabond strategy is faster, anyone who wants to beat the time would have to employ the same tactic, or find a better one.
Just to add to this. If you submit level runs im happy for them to be in a longer video as long as the time of the start of the race and which lap are written in the notes, to save time editing or if you have several submissions they can be added on the same video with different run submissions.

I know we're only a small game here but Im looking to add individual levels for each track so we can run those too. Will be timed using the in game lap timer, and obviously have video evidence. Timer only shows with NO Weapons mode.
Thought it would be nice having something easy, fast and fun to run. ill work out the rules once i work out the SRC side of things as im inexperienced with it still.
Open to suggestions or whatever.

Its actually pretty interesting reading thru this again and seeing peoples reasons for and against -ns, rta and igt.
The discussion however was about 3am my time and i was lying in a hospital bed i couldnt listen in. I only caught the last half hour and the mood had settled but i got the vibe the loudest voices that day are what prevailed, not the feelings of the community as a whole. like i said tho i wasnt there so i cant really speculate, just a vibe.

We've been told the benefits of IGT so if it were to be taken away there could be scrutiny for why it was implemented in the first place.
As far as the PX stuff goes, i cant speak for everyone and my memory is a bit battered but when i initially stumbled across d2 speedrunning on speeddemos and saw segmented runs, i put a note aside to look into it and forgot. then about a year later i guess i stumbled onto it again but this time on youtube then twitch. The guys that stood out were Nightfall, Ryu, MrLlama and Teo. They all ran p1 (maybe nightfall started running px more im not sure).
I just assume most people initially ran p1 coz of those guys. it was the standard run. i dont think the boards had px till a while after. too much time invested into p1 for people to change.
learning where exits are is helpful and learning where they are not can save alot of time too.
and also if you take up blazers suggestion id recommend a barb so u can run around in a frenzy yelling at all the weaklings :D
If you keep practicing im sure youll get more consistent. I dont know this for a fact but im assuming one of the reasons we have to use mGBA emulator is that it runs closest to the real hardware (FPS etc) so i dont think a different emulator will help. but like i said i dont know that for a fact.
now that ive done about 100 manip attempts and understand the npc movement/frames interaction better im usually within 4 frames. are you adjusting your frame in flowtimer to allow for the npc movement? if you write the trainer id or frame number wrong thats gunna mess ya up too obviously.
Hi there. bumpin this thread just wanted to ask a question. i took the above advice and got mGBA for save stating a squirtle for practice. Is Modest with 31 HP, 20 ATK, 11 DEF 30 SPA 1 SPD AND 22 SPD ok? or should i try and find one better? i ran 2:49 with it with alot of pauses to read guides and resets on deaths.

nice i was hoping someone would think of a way of counting, i havnt tried yet but was gunna use the little flame puffs on the ground for counting.
Hi There. The Moderator for Death Rally https://www.speedrun.com/death_rally has been inactive for 6 months. I have runs pending. I have created a new thread in the forum with no response and also tried to contact them via youtube with no response. He/She has no other social media contacts on page. I have read the moderation rules and could moderate the game as a last resort. I have Diablo 2 runs on here and I think I am active enough on the site to cover the commitments of this small game/community.
On my 1st attempt i took the wp at frigid, clicked on the top of the list (thinking it would be Harrogath) haha. then on 2nd attempt didnt buy more tps after my 1st shop... on my 3rd i finally finished at 17 mins i just ran normal sorc speedman spec with nova/static.
This IS fun, good way to break up a grind or do something different. Id run it if it was a category. Short and sweet.
i initially swayed both ways on this. Its LOD so should be LOD toon creation, but i didnt think that for very long. At the end of the day if somebody WR's with classic strat, everybody running that catagory has the option to start as classic or lod. everyone in the same boat. Its no biggie.
Its no different from any other strat, if u wanna compete u gotta use the best strat, or find your own.
yeh i checked his other moderated games/forums but couldnt see anyone asking in the forums. hendoesnt have a social media contact. i forgot if he has youtube i might check.
