I'm not exactly new here. But this is the first time I'm speaking up. A while ago I made this account to speedrun OG Resident Evil 2 just because I wanted my name on a leader board somewhere. After meeting that goal, I went away and didn't come back for a while.

But now I'm back because I'm doing bit Dungeon III speedruns trying to get that to sub 20 minutes. It's just me an one other person competing for first place there. (Please, come join in that. It's a cheap and good game!)

And now I'm also thinking of what other games I might enjoy speedrunning. I usually enjoy speedrunning games that can just be done fast without having to use to glitches or exploits.

Hello. I am new here.

I've been speedrunning RE2 for a long time, and I think that I should start submitting my runs for it. However, I'm pretty new to the speedrunning community, so I just have a couple of questions regarding it.

I know there is an autosplit script, but as far as I understand, it only works for the PC version, correct? If so, this is not an option for me at the moment. So I would need to know when the game timer starts and ends so my split timer is as close as possible to it.

Another question is that I'll be using an Emu and on the rules it says PsxFin 1.13 is recommended. Is this purely a recommendation, or am I only allowed to use it? And why is it recommended?
