I don't think seepdrun.com allow a WR run without video evidences. On the other hand if you submit a decent time with a picture as a proof I would probably validate it if the time seems possible.

From my knowledge there a re only 2 different versions so far: -First edition US -Everything else including Japanese, PAL and US later releases (Japanese obviously has the shortest textbox)

Currently version difference counter balance themselves and I would say there is only a very tiny advantage using Japanese for any% and none for All items.

As stated by Mr_Shasta you don't have to shoot targets in JPN and PAL version but on the other hand the elevator actually waits for you instead of following a cyclic pattern (saving around 10 seconds)

US version also allow Weavel skip and basically the entire Alinos 1 escape but on the other hand the teleporter can't be used later for Alinos 2 escape

Hello there, I'm probably the last remaining active speedrunner of this game so I can help you with your task if you are still interested. This would probably fall under what we consider low% because of how the game calculates %. It would be a tough task to go for the lowest % possible in game. Skipping every expansion is definitely possible because you can refill your UA on every boss that requires UA to be killed. Sadly there is no humanly possible method to skip weapons at this point in the game.
