@cinemassacres Commodore CDTV is added but AmigaOS is a really strange one. Is there some exclusive specific case for this? Because a couple of Amiga platforms already exist on the site that uses the OS and its like saying "Windows 10" is a platform (I can see the argument but I really need more information regarding the case here).

It's not accurate in the slightest, I wouldn't allow it at all. Re-read the original post, just record off an actual good emulator on PC.

Can we also make a footnote that even though the PS Classic was "officially" released by Sony that it is "Unofficial" emulation?

I've yet to see anyone grab raw 60fps from a gv-usb2 through OBS itself or Vmix without lots of issues.

Amarec still grabs the footage from raw data, it will give you 60fps without almost any issue whatsoever or applying any filters. Though like mentioned it will stutter a frame here or there once and awhile and due to how you have to capture it, you lose a little bit of image quality.

Vmix does not appear much different from just capturing directly through OBS, as such 60fps looks bad and won't give you 60fps since you have to deinterlace.

I assume the only way people truly get around from using amarec in the end from using old cards is an internal capture card, or they force the consoles into progressive and just deal with the input delay or use one of those modded in HDMI things.

I never understood why Amarec is the only one that is truly capable of doing what it does while everything else doesn't even try, I only speak from live streaming with the device and not local recording. Amarec is not as great as it used to be but it still suffices more than enough to fulfill your needs, but if you are looking strictly for local recording I'm sure there are far better solutions than Amarec for it.

@Wipeoutjack7 Please don't ask for other boards/series to have settings altered if you don't moderate any of the games or series in question. While those may get hidden by default you can manually change the setting for them to appear in the left panel towards the bottom or the series mod can have them appear by default by changing the series page settings.

If moderators of the boards want it removed, we are more than willing change those game types but we won't do it just because a runner or random person requests it.

AmarecTV is still a good solution for 60fps, depending on your PC, it will stutter a frame once and awhile and a slight drop in image quality.

vmix or whatever it is people are starting to use nowadays gets rid of those problems but I've yet to get vmix to give me 60fps without the whole program exploding with weird color issues and scaling. This is my experience with a GV-USB2 and Vmix.

1. Virutal reality is not purely a "platform", VR becomes a platform on various gadgets, console and PCs. I say this because he wants to section off platforms.

2. "I think it would be nice to section off VR speedrunners against PC speedrunners." This is an arbitrary split, this is like saying "I think it would be nice to section off console speedrunners against PC speedrunners" (which would be more than just splitting up a category on a leaderboard) in other words this is no different than making a category/split on a leaderboard for said things.

3. What exactly would be the point of this otherwise? "I think it would be nice to section off" all this does is limit ones ability to look for it or if I'm reading that wrong then why block off ones ability to find anything.

4. I'm partially lazy to get too deep into it but I really don't see the literal purpose. Another way to look at this is, using multiple series to cater to each platform that VR is on to "section off" each and every platform its on....see where that is an excessive mess? You can't do this for every single platform VR is on.

Don't take what I say to heart but this is my personal point of view.

Edit: Maybe it'd be simpler if I knew what exactly "section off" meant from them.
